are the arya's comfortable.
Some of the most comfortable earphones money can buy. They dont touch your ears at all.

they sound good with the hugo 2 but the 887 drives them even better and can go much louder
Yikes, you can max out Aeons with Hugo2 and it's not loud enough?

Arya has a sensitivity of 90db so hard to drive. I personally like to go louder than what the hugo 2 is capable of with arya. With all my other headphones its way more than enough

Is the Hugo 2 as a DAC only 100% identical to the Qutest?

They're quite close although the Qutest benefits from a heavier chassis and galvanicly isolated USB input.
Thanks! And Hugo2 ist a portable solution aswell - do they behave same with an added M-Scaler?They're quite close although the Qutest benefits from a heavier chassis and galvanicly isolated USB input.
did anyone try Source - M-Scaler - Hugo2 - Tube AMP yet?

The Hugo2 requires a more odd cable set up to connect to the M Scaler's BNC outs with some likely impedance mis-match so although the Hugo 2 can indeed be connected to the M Scaler and get the full 768K, the Qutest (or TT2 or DAVE) will perform better with the M Scaler.

the hugo 2 performs amazingly with mscaler. just use the same two 75 ohm bnc cables with an adaptor.

Just note, going through an adapter you will get some impedance variance, ie. no longer adhering to 75 ohms.
then use a dual bnc to coax cable. if there is any impedance variance it has zero effect on the target sound of a 1 million tap hugo 2.

Are you considering a tube power amp or a tube integrated amp? I ask because I have tried Hugo1, Hugo2, HugoTT and Dave connected direct to several tube power amps and the sound quality was always compromised unless the Chord DAC was set to line level output and a preamp used (I preferred a Music First TVC preamp).
