Doubt it would lift beyond MU2 and defo not worth the hassle vs all in one. But looked at your work man great stuff. Hans running sean jacobs dave + mu1. Based on his review mu2 better by a nice delta. May be time to clear out the dave. Grimm is the reaper for Chord. Slayed mscaler and dave.

My mods are a different approach than any external PSU as i worked directly on Dave's internal analog section which gave an enormous authorative drive improvement.

But i cant say anything about comparison with MU2 as i havent heard one which i will if i get the chance.

I can't comment on the MU2 either but look forward to watching that review and eventually hearing one.

But I can comment on @Reactcore work having recently visited him which was quite an experience (Link below to my thoughts) but can say that yes there is a lot of benefit to HP out BUT also an uplift to general performance with speakers. I found soudstage and clarity definitely amplified and even better than stock Dave. I'm not as technical as him by far so I will let him explain how the improvement is derived from his work.

Since Dave's SE line out is exactly the same output stage as HP out.. my mods affect both.

Only HP's draw more current out of it so the change difference is bigger.

The only dsp I limitedly know of which is not ruining my golden ears is mojo2. So far... I do suffer bit perfect syndrome and other audiofool symptoms, it's heavy.
But for normal people it's all good, it seems.

Sorry buddy but not from what I heard. To me these flavor of the month DACs just don't cut it. I heard MSB and Grimm in the same room and MSB killed it, to me Chord killed MSB, so I don't agree at all.

At the end of the day, Rob is so good we have all kinds of people coming here trying to prove other DACs and other upscalers are better than his stuff, that just tells me how good he is . At the end of the day no other DAC does it for me, just Rob's. But, I don't go to other chats trying to tell the others that Rob's DACs are better, they just are
