You need to find someone with an original mojo. I see you are in london and so am I. I have the original if you need some helpGuys can you update the chord poly without a Mojo 1? I’m fully happy with Mojo2Poly.I was considering a Poly to pair with my Mojo 2 but it sounds like a very unintuitive device. Is it really that hard to use? At the moment I'm using the Mojo 2 with an iPhone with Roon, Qobuz and Bandcamp.
Listening to Radio & SD card only

I own 2 x Polys, each twinned with a Mojo. Neither works properly with respect to connecting and streaming via Bluetooth.
The first Poly (a later se#) presents correctly over BT as a listening device (like headphones). I can connect via my main phone, A Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro, from which music will appear to play. However the light on the Mojo does not come on to show a connection/sample-rate. However, if I then make a 2nd connection using one of various older devices (eg. a Samsung Galaxy J7), and press play, the music from both devices will start to play, competing with each other for focus of the device. If I press stop on the 2nd device, both streams stop and both restart if I press play. However, if I disconnect BT of the 2nd device while in play mode, it disappears leaving the 1st device continuing to play correctly. From there, I can pause/restart the stream from that device until it's connection is lost at which point the whole cycle begins again.
The second Poly (earlier se#), is worse. It appears over BT to only some devices and when it does, it presents as a data source rather than as headphones. I cannot get any of my devices to pair with it - upon request it says 'pairing' for a while and then fails. There is no request for a PIN, however I have attempted resetting the PIN to an alternative and back to the default.
Both devices are updated to v3.0 firmware.
Finally, the Go Config app makes this whole process substantially more painful. The frequent crashes are frustrating enough but ludicrously, there is not (as far as I can ascertain) even a way to EXIT the app, even though it may instruct you to do so to execute certain tasks. Sometimes I can just change one of the many settings that cause the app to summarily close however I've often had to go to phone settings and 'force stop' just to close it, or restart the phone.
I travel a lot and I socialise a lot when I travel. I have these setups so as to enjoy audiophile quality sound on the road and while I'm happy with UPNP/wifi streaming my own library, BlueTooth functionality is meant to make it easy to share access to my systems with others. Frankly it's embarrassing when it proves to be so difficult for them to connect to, that we end up listening to someone's crappy Boombox instead, simply because they've implemented bluetooth correctly.
I have sent this to Chord but thought I'd post it here in the meantime on the off chance that anyone might have any useful advice -
and of course... Hi Folks! Thanks for having me

Have you explored the Poly FAQ?

As far as I'm aware, that doesn't help as anyone accessing it still needs a UPNP compatible controller/library, no? I'm looking for the convenience to allow anyone to play whatever music from whatever source they tend to prefer. Why don’t you use the hotspot feature?
Either on smartphone or on Poly?
Me, I'm happy to stick to UPNP but I'm all set yup for it already but some dude wants to play us a couple of tunes off his iPhone/Samsung/Nokia. I shouldn't need to be saying "search for this or that app and install and find outputs or renderers or something similar and (fingers crossed) MyPoly should show up as one", he should be able to pair over BT and press play, just like everyone is used to doing with the boom boxes now. It is, after all, an advertised feature of the Poly.
This use case makes sense. As far as I'm aware, that doesn't help as anyone accessing it still needs a UPNP compatible controller/library, no? I'm looking for the convenience to allow anyone to play whatever music from whatever source they tend to prefer.

Unfortunately, I can’t help further as my Poly works perfect, also with Bluetooth

With hotspot mode, you can use a daemon player for the files on the SD card So you preserve the battery of your smartphone. As far as I'm aware, that doesn't help as anyone accessing it still needs a UPNP compatible controller/library, no? After configuration.
1. I start the hotspot mode of my Samsung
2. I start the Poly
3. My Samsung find automatically the Poly
4. I start M.A.L.P.
5. I select my playlist or my album in M.A.L.P.

It’s maddening that Chord didn’t explain this and gave the impression that old Poly and new Mojo2 would be plug-and-play. Chord CS said I should have received notice via GoFigure of Poly v3 update, but neither my existing GoFigure nor reinstalled version gave a hint. You need to find someone with an original mojo. I see you are in london and so am I. I have the original if you need some help
the Mojo2 manual explained this.

1. Start Poly
2. Open Hotspot on iPhone —> Poly connects automatically
3. Either open GoFigure and start radio or open 8player and Start music from SD card
