And what better way to help than simply tell us what features their product will support. This is called "Marketing" and is something all companies engage in.

It will take no time for them to say "we will support a, c, d" etc

No, you misunderstand Marketing. No company will release info on features which are in the works and therefore not ready for primetime. Maybe they give some info on features and then can‘t deliver or have to postpone, no clever company will ever do something like this. Chord has told us there is an app coming and they have also made some statements what the app will do, but no details, because this is what they are working on. Better underpromise and later overdeliver then the other way round. So lets hope they could make a splash with the release of the app and let us not expect to much from the first release.

Should not be too long now for Andrew to be come a happy man with two further software updates and the app being not too far away now. Only days for the next one.

Thanks John for the Headsup, you're 2 posts away from 1000 entrys on Head-Fi, so, again, thanks for beeing with us, even if it's not that easy all the time. But you guys have an ear on the community and that's what count.

Thanks after all for the courage to bring poly from something dreamed up in some meetings over some sure bumpy roads to reality, i love beeing part of this adventure!

I won't be truly happy until I have an M-Scaler without a redundant (for me) cd mechanism or ADC!

Though I will be happy to see you through this dreadful patch with software, as I look forward to competent CHORD streaming for my DAVE.

But if I can make a suggestion... you might find it worthwhile to reach out to J River. They have one of the best, if not the best, media players out there (Rob uses it), which is also a server and a renderer, and they have variants that can be embedded on lowish powered platforms like a Raspberry Pi. So if you put some of their software on one of your Poly like devices a DAVE, or whatever CHORD DAC you happen to have, would appear as a zone to JRiver, remotely controllable through a variety of solid and excellent apple or android apps.

Thanks for the update. My brother is living in India right now and looking to get one as well. Any insight into how best get one there.

Hi,
My Poly works well with BubbleUPnp and JRiver Media Centre 23 except for DSD. Why is DSD available with Roon only after firmware update?

My gear is Windows PC Intel i7, Benchmarkd DAC 2HGC and Sennheiser HD800 using Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I've got the same problem before, but I have noticed that the 1st post already have the answer to this.

How can I get Poly to play .DSD files?
Poly recognises DSD just the same as MOJO. The application you’re using (8player) does not recognise DSD. Hence why the folders are empty. Sesame also doesn’t recognise DSD. The DLNA applications do not currently recognise DSD. To playback DSD from the SD card, you need to use an MPD application such as MPDluxe. You are already aware of this, you need Polys IP address which is found by pressing the configure button whilst wearing headphones. Poly will read its IP address. The Port should be 6600. No password is required

For Android phone, I am using this app and it works, the only thing is that it doesn't read the tags inside dsf files.

Download and upgraded yet found it not reliable at all, difficult to get the song play through Mojo after disconnection and then reconnect. I set poly in hotspot mode. What are the correct sequence to start the app and poly, shall I sync every time? Syncing seems very slow too. And it suddenly play through my iPhone instead of Mojo even Poly is selected in the setting page.

If you're still having trouble, please reach out to me directly so we can try and get it resolved.

The initial sync can certainly take some time, but the tradeoff is that your library is then locally indexed for fast browsing, sorting and searching of all your music.

Glider is different than other music players in that you never actually have to choose your source. All of your music from multiple different sources is available as a single library, and the highest quality file will be chosen automatically for you based on the selected output.

Does anyone have issues with files on the SD player not being found still?

Do I need to:
1. buy a Samsung SD card (it looks like the Poly ships with Samsung SD cards)?
2. Wait for the app which will solve this problem?

I am using the free app from AK (hope they won’t disable supporting the Poly after reading this :p)

In case others have similar problems, it seems that the latest Glider app that has been updated works much better.

So I guess the Chord app should fix it whenever it arrives.

The problem is not coming from using a non-Samsung SD card rather than using a Samsung SD card what Chord includes in one of the Poly bundles.

Any time line for the app? If it takes a while, then perhaps I will consider buying the Glider app so that I can use the SD player more reliably.
