I’m use my iPhone to pair with my poly. Can people here advise me on which app do you guys use to play dsd files from sd card ? The only app I can use is mpdluxe but I can’t get this to work with iPhone hotspot. Only works with my home WiFi.
8 player can display my dsd files on the app but cannot play the dsd files.

Any help would be good

Thank you
use Neutron ,, it play DSD very will ,,

Question for all owners of the Mojo/Poly case??-- Is it worth dropping the extra $100! for the case?

Trusted Review's Cons were:
  • Case makes it bulky
  • Battery meter could be clearer
Do you also find the case bulky or unwieldy in your pocket? I of course want to protect my device and I will use it a lot on the go, but is it worth waiting for a slimmer / cheaper aftermarket case? Or is the case really slick and worth picking one up?

@chord - I think this ship has sailed an the answer is No, but any chance the offer for a free/poly case for pre-orders being extended to US customers?
yes buy it without any hesitation ,, i cant imagine using my Mojo without its leather case , hence a mojo +poly which cost over a 1000+$
for me , i will buy it as soon as i get my Poly ..

I just gave neutron a try. It’s not user friendly and not useable at all. I don’t like the interface and DLNA doesn’t work with poly. It crashes all the time.
I would not recommend this app to people here who want to pair this app with poly.i wish I can get a refund for what I paid for the app.

Ok we are investigating this. The P status light will go out and Poly will switch off when Poly detects no voltage from the charger or from Mojo.
Some Anker chargers are smart and have intelligent ports that detect the amount of current required and shut down to reduce energy consumption when it's not needed.

When Mojo and Poly are fully charged the current drawn from the port on the Anker charger would be almost zero so the charger would detect that no power is required and shut that port down.
Poly will then switch off as it will no longer detect any voltage on the micro USB input.

Can you let me know the model number of your Anker charger as I will run some tests and confirm.
It's nothing to be concerned about but I would like to give you an explanation if I can.

Thanks, Matt. What you say makes sense - I hadn't thought about the possibility that the charger might shut down, but I am using 'intelligent' chargers.

I've got two Ankers that I use - a PowerPort 5 (40W 5-port USB charging hub - model number on Amazon 0848061090260) and a PowerPort 4 Lite (27W 4-port USB wall charger - model number on Amazon AK-A2042211). Both of these chargers include 'PowerIQ' technology, and both issue up to 2.4A per port. For the time being, I have been using them to charge Poly/MojoPoly without any other devices connected so that there can be no doubt about the current being delivered.

That’s interesting. I haven’t been using an intelligent charger- still, even without using a new charger Poly’s behaviour did change from solid blue light when charged to light off.

What if Poly`s battery never reached it`s full charge the first cycles? Like a ..burn in of some sort..? Maybe only after a few cycles it gets to it`s full potential and stops taking current from the charger? Could any of these make sense somehow?

Does anyone manage to use 8Player without problems? On my iPhone 6+ if I pause a track the app will hang terminally, every time. I just force quit the app, reopened it, selected a new album, and it is still just spinning its wheel. Honestly, the most frustrating, rubbish app I think I can remember. I've deleted it.

8Player works great on my iPhone X.

I've got an entirely unintelligent Samsung charger which claims to be 2A so will try that next!

Hahahah! Make sure to let us know how that went;)

Were are you your rendering your music? it’s possible in the wrong place it will still play but not well. 1) So double click then swipe up then start 8player again. 2) then unless after you select your server being Poly3) then go to the bottom of the page and select Poly as your renderer not your phone. 4) go to your music

I have an iPhone 6s and I do have problems with 8player. For example, pausing it briefly often seems to mean that on restarting it will play to the end of the current track but then fail to find the next track and give me the spinning wheel. It doesn't cope well with transition between home wifi and mobile hotspot.

It's also not gapless...

MPDluxe is better, but doesn't work at all on mobile hotspot.

No I'd done that, selected Poly as both server and renderer

So maybe I'm not the only one. Maybe we need a new iPhone LOL.
I can't use MPD as all my music is ALAC

Hoping GoFigure will save me from this hell, ;)
