Thanks, which one?
Which MPD client? I'm on Android, and use M.A.L.P
If on home network Poly gets a fixed IP address from the router, and if on the move gets a fixed IP from phone's hotspot, then its just a matter of selecting between 2 profiles.

Thank you, I am on iPhone and will try immediately. What about streaming?

If you're on iPhone I'd just use Glider
I try glider now. It works however I can’t stream qobuz like with mconnect. I don’t use Tidal and in qobuz the DLNA connection is not included so I need an application to stream it. The best would be to use the same for both but not yet founded.

Don't think you're going to find one app currently that does all.

I think too, how did you stream on Android ( if you use streaming)?

I don't :) I'm waiting on Casting functionality. Just use Poly for SD card.
I think I will do that too. Perhaps it stream well Tidal but I am on qobuz and don’t want to change. Are you using playlist directly Through go figure or just sd card?

It depends how much of a hurry I'm in :-) GoFigure is slow to connect and slow to read stored playlists right now but I'm persevering with it when I have the patience as I want to be helpful to the development of the Beta. Otherwise I'm playing them (and writing new ones directly to the SD card) using M.A.L.P which works brilliantly.
Incidentally, I mentioned earlier that some playlists had randomly disappeared from GoFigure. They did all eventually show up a day or so later - can't work out what triggered it!

I never use DLNA apps to listen to the SD card as I find using an MPD client (M.A.L.P) to be far superior (gapless playback, native DSD) and haven't had a problem.

May I ask, how does one set up M.A.L.P?

For the life of me I have never got this to work, I have seen it demonstrated once before at one of the shows. But never had any joy myself.
Thanks

Glider Problems! :(

Hi All - I'm a bit confused using Glider, which I downloaded today. I've got c7k songs on my 256GB Sandisk Ultra MicroSD XC1 card (Ex Fat configured and Itunes Library copied in). Glider can see Poly OK but I've got two problems I'm experiencing using Glider:

1. Every time I switch on again using the Poly in hot spot mode it starts to re-index
2. It doesn't index all the way through the card/songs. The maximum I've got to is 3.5k (out of the 7k) songs

Is there a setting or something else I've missed on Glider? Or is there something else going on?

It shouldn't be too hard. The trick is to make sure you know Poly's present ip address. You then go to Profiles on MALP's menu. Press + to create a new one. Give it a sensible name. Add the IP address and save. After a second or two it should connect. It's much easier to use MALP if you can tell your router to give Poly a fixed IP address. Otherwise you can end up creating new profiles every time it's given a new one. A simple trick to get it working is to put Poly in hotspot mode and connect to the hotspot with your android device. Then create a new profile in MALP called Poly Hotspot for which the IP address of Poly will always be 192.168.1.1.

Ok for the host number but what about the port: 6600?

I’ve been using glider on iPhone with Poly and have a few general questions. When I play from an SD card, I can still control the volume from my phone? Poly’s frequency light is green, so I know I’m not streaming with AirPlay. But I’d like to understand what is actually happening? Is the misuc going from Poly to the phone and back? Is there a reduction in sound quality because of this? What about then reducing the volume in (presumably) software? What about this?

Even if there is a reduction in SQ, it’s still convenient to change volume from my phone instead of taking Poly out of my bag. I’d just like to understand what’s happening. Thank you.
