So how do i put poly to hotspot mode, to check the firmware version.. holding the pin down doesn't seem to be doing anything. Also would like to add pw now that its possible.

He is using Bluetooth. Which will make the P.Status light flash purple while in use.

How do you use bluetooth, when I first got my Poly I could pair it with my phone. I no longer see the screen. I am at 1.1.17. I have dedided not to upgrade until GoFigure comes out. I am guessing early on the recent update will be sorted out possibly a fixing the update update coming... then Go figure. It works now, so I went in and deleted my home network so it will not auto update.

Glad you have something good to distract you. We've gone by COB Friday in the UK which means no GoFigure this week as promised. I would say my definition of imminent has not been met. GoFigure!

The “English People” have a different definition of “imminent” than we do in the USA.

It reminds me of the Monty Python movie where nothing bothered the English guy on the bicycle “just a minor flesh wound” who was bleeding out.

In fact this whole Poly trip could be a Monty Python movie on so many levels.

Is there any limitation on number of songs shown in Glider?

Nope, there's no limit. Send me a PM if something doesn't look right.

I am seeing a new problem on the latest firmware. Glider would now often “stop seeing” Poly if I have minimised it, after starting playback.

Poly would keep on playing but I have no means of regaining control until I restart my unit.

Can you confirm if this happens with other DLNA apps? Is anyone else experiencing this after the firmware update?

We said imminent We meant it! The only reason we haven’t realeased it already was to allow some time for Poly users around the world to update their hardwared to accommodate functions from GoFigure.

I can certainly understand a developer team working hard for customers and getting annoyed when reading so many rants on forums (mine included)

In one sense though, these particular rants are quite the complement to Chord.

It’s a testament to how great the other Chord products are, that owners of the Poly are dumbfounded with a Chord product in their hands that is rather frustrating to use. Any other company and i probably would have returned a $700+ device the same week i bought it if it was this frustrating to use. It’s a sign of my respect for Chord products that I’m on here checking status everyday (and sometimes ranting) while holding on to my Poly, hoping for the best.

I would bet many other people who rant feel the same way.

On a separate note, there’s no mention of the firmware including improvements to the wifi client. So, whatever 2.4gHz APs it didn’t connect to prior to this firmware update, still won’t work? Or was it improved and just not mentioned?

Finally, i see the instructions. How strange. Many devices that include an sd card slot will simply require side loading the updated software to the root of the sdcard from a windows or osx machine, and then when inserting the sdcard back into the device and turning it on, the update happens aytomatically, and after the automated update will then automatically restart.

No muss, no fuss, no confusion.

Why this convoluted ‘poly will search for” routine with this strange sequence of turn on turn off turn on turn off turn on forget poly from bt turn off bt turn on bt sequence?

And why doesn’t the status indicator light show when the update is downloading and change colors when the download is done?

I have no idea how slow my iphone hotspot is (my only really workable option since the poly doesn’t connect to my sonicwall or fortinet and has a strangely fragmented connection to my travel ap). So how would i know when the download is done? I guess i won’t and will just have to hope for te best. Seems a rather clunky way to do an update though.

OMG. Just release the app already! If it really truly is ready release it. Never mind the slowpokes who haven't updated their Poly. When they see GoFigure is available I'm sure they will update the firmware. You could also state on the app page: UPDATE YOUR POLY!

I have to say the latest Poly firmware has made Poly less intuitive than before. We could really use the app like now, if not yesterday. Stop coming up with reasons and PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS AUDIO, release GoFigure!

When you say "we haven't released it already" does that mean there will be an additional wait once Apple receives this supposed GoFigure app because they need to test it again with the MojoPoly you sent them 3 months ago? Or when you "release it" it will be immediately available for download from the App Store?

Please do stop sniping, Actually it can be much less convoluted and faster but having had people complain they couldn’t up date there Poly’s with the last update, when they hadn’t allowed suffient time to load it or they hadn’t switched off and on again the process we’ve outlined will garantee success even the most inept individuals rather like myself.
