Just a demo version I expectHi there
Do you know why that is? Is it that Chord are using the pre Apple approved version?

Just a demo version I expect
I have done a small amount of app development, but the reason they will be able to show it off before its approved is because as a developer you can put the app on any device you want (manually). The only thing they are waiting for approval for is for it to go into the app store. So they are probably just going to preload it onto a few devices and bring those along. Probably the same exact version too thats waiting to be approved.
Now, to some of my own Poly stuff. I am still having issues with my battery. Every single time I go to use it the battery is lower than the mojos battery. I charge them together. Is this something I should be concerned about and contacting them for a possible replacement? Unlike most here, I dont have any real issues with dropouts or connection problems in my normal usage scenarios... though I really really would like google cast support sooner rather than later!

I think that's an excellent idea - I think it's perfectly reasonable that if they're entirely dependent on 3rd party apps to ask them to open up the hardware as much as they possibly can. Certainly if it's possible for the Apple Watch to use BLE to browse and control the playback of iPhone tracks then maybe some smart developer could step up to the plate for Poly.It occurs to me that if we ask @ChordElectronics @Mojo ideas and @Matt Bartlett really nicely, maybe Chord will be willing to share some of the code they use in the Bluetooth low energy stuff. It clearly can start/stop playback for a specific playlist...
Maybe folks like @joe28 could leverage it for glider etc, though I do not know the extent to which it would be useful. Glider already will know about all your music, it’s location, and presumably with the api it could work in ‘offline’ mode to browse your library but still send commands over btle to control playback and *maybe* song selection
Presumably Bluetooth is too slow for them to reasonably download and browse things like album lists, though folks like Joe are pretty good and keeping a reasonable UI in these cases

Firstly, I need to apologize to Rob Watts and also thanks him for the help. I got my Chord Poly working both in Airplay and Bluetooth.
1) My Poly did not charge is due to I'm not using a 2A charger to charge, after I use my iPad charger to charge, the issue is resolved.
2) Poly firmware does not update and having issues in setting up Airplay cos my aging wireless router is faulty, upgraded to a better Linksys router and issue is resolved!
However, I find Airplay still got some dropouts in signal, my iPhone 8 and Poly is very close to each other but dropouts is still there sometimes. Anyway to resolve this issue?!
I really like the way that you have admitted this and apologised in public. Not everyone would do that. It is easy to blame poor old Poly for everything, but sometimes the problems can lie elsewhere. Well done in making progress - I hope you get many hours of pleasure from your MojoPoly.

It took a lot of turning on and off but finally the firmware updated, and I finally managed to get my IP. The AI refused to tell me my IP, upon pressing the config button for three second it only announced the mod I was in.
However I noticed that once I was connected to network and I had a solid blue P.configu light it finally revealed my IP. Now I'm set. Took me alot longer than I was hoping it would take me.
I hope the GoFigu app removes the guessing game.
Using MPD, there is a considerable time delay from me selecting a different song to the instruction reaching Poly. The time delay is as long as 20 second. I'm using M.A.L.P which is great free app that actually retrieves missing metadata from last FM and music brain.

That's interesting - you must have some network issue or some other problem. My experience of M.A.L.P (love it too) is that its instantaneous. It took a lot of turning on and off but finally the firmware updated, and I finally managed to get my IP. because before Poly i never needed it &ATT wants $15/mo for it
I’m still trying to understand why a personal hotspot doesn’t work for you

Your phone can turn into a WiFi router using the personal hotspot feature.
Other devices can then connect to the router to create an ad-hoc network.
Your poly is part of the network and you can play music via sd or airplay or just however a normal speaker renderer works.
Perhaps where the carrier AT&T comes in, is if you want to access the internet, whilst part of the ad-hoc network, it won’t supply you an ip address (just a guess), which you would need to communicate with the internet.
But if you just want to use it, without access to the internet, then I imagine, this has nothing to do with your carrier, and you’d get the functionality you mostly need.

It definitely can be down to the carrier - Some carriers actually disable the hotspot feature on the phone (the Personal Hotspot section will be greyed out in settings). You have to subscribe (at a monthly cost) to be able to activate it. This all depends on what plan you’re on though. Many plans have hotspot included, some don’t!

In the States it’s free and now part of the standard unlimited plan with ATT. I use it all the time with Poly.because before Poly i never needed it &ATT wants $15/mo for it
Wait until the full implications of net neutrality kick in, you'll have to purchase additional packages on your mobile plan to be able to stream music, play games, watch video etcI know! Those scumbags![]()

Since I got my personal hotspot working, I’m finding poly very convenient to use. I only have to use the pin to go to Roon mode.
I have two WiFi’s recorded in poly, my phones personal hotspot and my home WiFi.
When I go driving etc, polys finding my personal hotspot very quickly and everything is nice and fluid.
