Sounds like a cop-out IMHO, the Internet is a worldwide thing, why do they need a regional fix. Chord are obviously trying to get the cheapest possible solution that works, attempt one was a failure, hopefully they get it right next time.
At least once everyone has been updated the the latest F/W the problem won't occur again as I predict no further updates to Poly or 2Go.
I believe that the difference in regions is that in other (larger) regions there is a local Chord distributor that can somehow perform the firmware update if customers send in their unit physically

True, but why? It updated OK before, Chord changed their server and now it doesn't, just change the server back, or get someone who actually knows what they are doing to fix the server.
That seems easier to me than setting up every distributor in every country in the world with equipment to physically update them.
Or perhaps its time to just make the source public along with a basic howto. I know I'd relish the chance to have a look at it and see what I can do in my own personal time for my own use.

I would like to believe that Chord would have done that if it was this simple, let's give them a tiny bit of credit.
I don't know about making the source public, that might give them a lot of headache.
You could be correct in at least the server, that may have been the property of Design Consultants but I'd be very surprised if Chord don't own the F/W.
CHOWDHURY, Nurul Amin should be able to tell us if he is a member on HeadFi.
If Chord don't have access to the F/W or source then then its impossible for them to release any new versions, as its been mentioned many times here before that Chord have no IT or software expertise so there is probably no way for them to fix the server without paying someone to do it. Perhaps for them it is cheaper to update via the dealer network.
In any case its going to be very expensive and difficult to get another software house to make further updates now.
Please make the source images available to owners Chord, I really want to make some updates to improve certain things.
Is there any way to change the bluetooth name for 2GO? the previous owner seems do have a unique taste of naming
Didn't want t have a sus name in my BT list, lol
Doesn't matter, re-run wizard fix the naming issue.
The question is, does Chromecast function has been added in? and is there any way to access SD card from Windows?

Unfortunately, the Google Casting feature was promised initially (with Poly) but Chord never delivered. It's best to assume that they long ago stopped pursuing it and it won't come.
Is there any better way to access/upload music to the SD Card in 2go without ejecting the card?
The only thing I can do is access it via Network but can't delete nor upload new files to it.
Hi there, has anyone experiences drop outs in the connection of the 2go? As in it plays the first few seconds of a song and then skips to the next one until it fails.
Specifically, I'm using it as Roon endpoint fed by FLAC files stored on my NAS (the speed of my home network is normally excellent).

Yes, very common because 2go uses the very congested 2.4GHz band, where bursty packet loss is common from interfering networks nearby. Roon RAAT does not like that at all because it is optimized for low-latency synchronous play that can't accept higher packet retransmit delays. I've given up on using my 2go in the congested city wifi environment, and exiled it to the country, where I can use it outdoors because neighbors are sparse and far away.
