Chinese "iKS" headphone manufacture

Quite a discovery.
Just for interest I have ordered Polsen HPC-A30 (still in transit). By look they use the same construction as Takstar ISk HP-960B. Since specs except Ohms mostly are printed according to marketing needs, frequency range and sencivity are off. At the same time there are Roland's RH-300V with more classy presentation (and crazy price), but Roland's specs are closer in frequency range but also different in sensivity. Also there are Transhine TS-960B/Tianyun HP-960B with specs identical to ISk,
Takstar alone uses the same type of construction for their own models but with higher resistance. Definitely the difference is in drives. Who-is-Who?

Hi everyone!

I've recently bought an Omnitronic SHP-900, which is a relabeled ISK HP-3000. It has almost the same specs as the Roland RH-300 (not the V version). They are very good for the price imo, if you want a well-made, good all-arounder studio monitor headphone on a budget. They are definitely better, than my previous Takstar HD2000.

For the past couple of days I am searching all over the internet for the best headphones. And on some chinese sites I stumbled on some chinese manufacture called "iSK". They have couple of really good headphones in their production line. This model "iSK HP2011", http://www.micsdirect.com/isk_hp2011.htm looks like a PRO80, same ear cups, same cable, but without a case. Driver is 32ohms vs PRO80 60ohms, I cant't find what do they say how it sound.
There is also a "iSK HP2010", or "HF-2010" which is basically a takstar HD2050, same ear cups, but driver is 60ohms. They should have more bass than the hd2050 due to the 60ohms, but I can't find any review of them http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=...li_trackid=1_0edbb4cd7695f76efff566c8b2eb92ce

This model also has catch my attention "iSK HP-980", http://www.swamp.net.au/studio-monitoring-headphones-closed-back.html , but I can't find much informations or review on any or the english sites. I found on the chinese sites and with the help of a google translator it seems they don't have enough bass. But I am not sure. It's also 32ohms.

All of them are on the market for more than a year and can be bought directly from china at about the same price as the HD668B. HP-980 is the most expensive of all of them. Did anyone tried any of those? Thanks

Edit:
Here is their manufacture site, it took me a while to found it: http://isk.en.alibaba.com/
Chinese do respect them a lot, is seems they make stuff for other brands like AKG, Sennheiser, etc....

Hey Torro,

my be I can help you with that decision, I have the TAKSTAR PRO80, ISK HP2011 and the ISK HF2010.

I'm using DAC amp SMSL 793ii and compare them, I'm not proffetional and all I going to say it is only my personal experience,

so first off all I LOVE the TAKSTARS I have them more than a year from now, actually I start with those cans, they have clean descent BASS and clean with lot of clarity sound, I found them my daily drivers even after I brought the SHP9500 mostly becouse thay closed cans and I need most of the time isolate my self.

I have ordered the two cans from ISK becouse I also heard nice reviews on them here on the forum, I always want to buy the TAKSTARS HI2050 but until this month they does not on sale anymore, so I also pick up the HP2011, for 40$.

so the the ISK HF2010 are kind of similar to the PRO80 with their sound signiture but they where slightly more open sound I guess it is becouse they are SEMI open cans, thay have more amount of bass but not in a good way I feel that the bass were more slopy and muddy, not somthing terible that you can not witstand but it was noticeable so I wrote it here, overall the sound is clean I brought them for less the half price from the PRO80 so I can easly say that they are goof deal, I brought the HF2010 for 36$ and the takstars around a hundred bucks,

the HP2011 is the diffrent beast, I was very surprise in a good way from those, they seem to have differend drivers so the sound signiture is slightly different as well, they has great soundstage and clarity, the vocals are hilarious, overall the sound is better, the bass is solid and stiff but you get less amount of it and but lack of sub bass but it is very accurate and punchy, I'm very happy with those cans they are better than the PRO80 to my ears and cost less than half a price so it is a bargain, the plastic is flimsy and feels cheap, the band are good, the pads cusions are hot and not comfortable espetialy for long periods of time, so I modedd them with the angle HM5 pads now its much better. hope this small review helps, sorry for spelling mistakes :)
