Don't buy anything from cyhifi. I sent my ue 900 to reshel and add one dynamic driver on each side. There was serious fitting problem and one earphone is much bigger than the other one. Sounds is very stranger. Even the layouts of sound tubes are different on two sides. They agreed to reshell the whole thing for free. But they broke their promise later. Later I had to send my IEMs to another shop to reshell. This new shop tested my phones and got very different fr between two sides. Please take cyhifi off the list. Don't let them fleece any more money.

Thanks for the review, as usual excellent job Peter.  So if I read it correctly they are bit warm and have laid back presentation.
They do look tiny any shots in comparison to ASG?

Thanks! You're correct in your assumption about the presentation.

Regarding the size I assume that you mean picture in the ear? The SA 6 is actually slightly bigger than the 1PLUS but they fit my ear much more flush while the Aurisonics stand out more when I wear them.

I feel obliged to share my two cents.
Do you know that most of these companies use very cheap BA drivers in their products?
I refer you to this post http://www.head-fi.org/t/430688/home-made-iems#post_5784498

To be honest, I made my own custom pair after reading a few of the blogs(the above mentioned one) and watching a lot of Youtube videos(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKix3-ZeoL0).

Total cost excluding cable about 750RMB ($113) for a 5 driver setup which uses the exact same drivers as found in almost all of the 5 driver setups quoted in this thread.
(I only found that out after comparing mine to a set of QDC's and then looking at the others the shopkeeper had).

I live in China, so I bought everything from various Taobao stores. (Including the UV curing light).

Can you post details of your build on diy thread please. Did you use crossovers?

Did you count expences of UV curing unit and other tools like drill & solder iron into cost of iem. Also cost of learning, (imperfect shells, burnt drivers.....). How many hours did you put, learning that skill & learning about divers & crossover?
