Queen of Audio Aviation

Review Here

What's up everyone, at the link is my review for the QOA Aviation. I haven't had a moment to properly publish to Head-fi yet but figured I'd drop this here. I really enjoy this set.

I've been out of the loop these last few months, any true gems out there this year? Preferably available on linsoul because their sale is starting tomorrow and I managed to grab a discount code

A few questions to answer, so that the community can better finetune their suggestions.

1) What is your budget?
2) What are your preferred music genres?
3) Are you treblehead, basshead, treble sensitive etc?

Put it like this, I have the ThieAudio Monarch (OG) and the XENNS UP, I'm looking for something different from that. Maybe even not so much focused on 'tuning' per se as it is in terms of presentation, imaging, soundstage etc
Up to $100 but if there's something truly worth getting up to $250, I'm all ears

Tingker H16 and Audiosense DT600 are both in 11/11 sale if you want a darker tuned IEM

Don't think you can find an upgrade of the Xenns Up and Monarch at $250, let alone $100 USD.

Those are still quite solid sets even in 2023.

I wasn't aiming for an upgrade, more like diversification. I LOVE both of those sets, they just sound very similar to each other in a lot of aspects (I think at least) and I wanted something that'd be like totally opposite to those. like a palate cleanser of sorts

A few things I can think of. Bear in mind these are all technically weaker than your 2 current IEMs but just are different tonally.

The BQEYZ Wind is a warm neutral IEM with a Bone conductor that provides a big visceral sub-bass. Huge soundstage and natural timbre. Quite specially tuned.

The AFUL MagicOne is a single BA set with good tonal balance and solid technical chops. Neutral with excellent imaging and soundstage. It has BA bass though, but the bass is fast and clean.

Penon Fan 2 is a warm neutral set that is thick in the midrange and sounds like a baby Sony M9. Good timbre and very natural, though the nozzles are damn long.

The 7Hz Legato is a basshead specialist. Won't fit all genres well, but if you like a big bombastic bass, that will be an option to consider.

I am looking to buy an iem safe from GROUND NOISE for my computer. How would I read the iem specification? Please suggest 1-2 iem

When my feet touch the floor, Blon 03 has humm noise but CCA CRA doesnt have noise.

My PC is using Soundblaster g1 dongle.

After some time monitoring the AFUL Performer 5, it seems like they are finally discounted for 11.11.

I have just received my AFUL MagicOne so I think I am pass for now but others will be interested maybe.

https://hifigo.com/products/aful-performer-5

179$ instead of 219$, seems like the lower price found from trustable shops.

Hi all,

Anyone here ever purchased the Hifiman RE800S from Aliexpress?

They seem so cheap, currently at under 50$.

Are they legit?

Thanks
