Just a simple question:

What are the cheapest (full-size) headphones you actually enjoy listening to music with? I'm thinking knockaround pairs.

If you're looking for a knockaround pair, you may want to consider getting something from Koss with their great lifetime replacement policy.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful with finding a cheap set of cans.

even when you say "cheapest" you need to give a budget.

KOSS UR40 are really cheap, and listenable..

On the other hand, you get much better headphones if you can bring your budget to around $100.

Oh, maybe I'd poach a few ideas, but honestly I was just curious what different folks around here were enjoying and considering acceptable at the lowest of their own low end. It's interesting to see where the disease hobby takes you.

Plus, cheapo full-sizers are such a crapshoot and the point of minimum acceptability is very subjective.

I agree with the suggestion of Koss's low-end line. The UR20 are pretty good, and I think the UR40 are ok for their money.

Sennheiser has some decent models for around 30-40€ (convert plz, I'm too lazy).
