Cheapest Amp + DAC to go with T1

Run them straight out of an iPod, it'll work. It'll also sound like crap compared to if they were appropriately driven.

I fail to understand people who buy reference quality headphones and then want to drive them with garbage.

In any case the lowest I'd consider is something like the Audio-gd Fun or maybe the Nuforce Icon HDP, both have passable amps and DAC's.

x2 AGREED!!!!!!!!!!!!

other than that, go with a dac+amp combo. that might help you lower the cost. but that's not the way to treat a T1

Yeah, well I was wondering if I had barely enough money to grab a T1 and an inexpensive combo, then upgrade constantly until it was fully fleshed out.

It'd be an interesting experience, in my opinion.
