How'd they (CALs) hold up vs the studio beats?
I'm tossing up between these and v-moda Crossfade...

I am very satisfied with my CAL!'s, especially considering they were about a fifth of the price of the Beats.  They don't hit quite as hard as the Beats, but the Beats are battery operated, after all (in fact, no batts means no sound for Studio Beats).  However, if your budget is around $250 you can probably find something better than the CAL!'s.  They were just a very good, budget-friendly option for me.  But knowing what I know now, I definitely wouldn't buy the Beats.  As a lot of people say on these forums, you pay for a name and for style over sound and build quality.  I have to agree.  I don't know much about the Crossfades, but I can say my first impression after a quick search is that they may be more of a fashion statement than a pair of really high (sound) quality headphones (I haven't heard these, just a guess).  In any case, before you pull the trigger on any $250 set of cans, I recommend considering multiple options.
