Looking for input on changing my PC350 SE headset for either of these 3 headphones:

Beyerdynamic DT880
Beyerdynamic DT 990
Sennheiser HD 598

I do have a soundcard that can output at 600 ohm but I don't know if that will be such a large improvement in the Beyerdynamic headphones vs. the Sennheiser headphones.

Any thoughts on making this change?

What sound card are you using?
As your trying to upgrade from a Sennheiser PC350, I'm guessing this setup is for gaming (FPS).
The DT880 and HD598 should be a little easier on the ear for long term listening.
I think the DT990s are more a "movie theater" like sound, lots of bass and treble.
The HD598 would be a good choice if you are also planning on using headphones with an unamped source, or lightly amped source, like a portable music player.

The DT880 Premium 600-Ohm and DT990 Premium 600-Ohm are really good sounding headphones, but you really only should using them with a decent headphone amplifier.
My Asus STX and Yamaha receiver work fine with them.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I am using a Soundblaster ZXR currently which is supposed to be able to power up to 600 ohm. I do game but the reason I am switching is for music. My brother brought a set of ATH AD900 which just sounded much better.
