CCA in ear monitors Impressions Thread

And I am the unlucky one. All three TRN products (BT20S, BT3S, TRN 8 Core MMCX cable) I purchased were defects.

sympathies, it sucks to buy products (even if some consider them "low" or even budget) and when they are broken

out of TRN V90, V90 (V90 twice, yes), BA5, ST1 - the first V90 had issues on the right side that the sound lowered, even stopping output (could have been partially due to ear canal though [pushing in too deep seems to have a weird effect that output is affected] and that I used them for sleep, lying on side) - however the situation rectified itself after some time of using foam tips

so 3/4 or 4/4 are working well

the KZ AS10 had no issues so far, don't have any CCA yet

Well, I have been lucky, I have V80, V90, BA5 and ST1 with no problems. In fact out of all my 40+ IEMs I have only had one fault, the MMCX connection on the Tin T4. I received a perfect replacement, though and it's one of my favourite IEMs.

My V80, V90 and ST1 have been fine as well.

Also the T2 16 core cable from TRN is fine as well.

The V90 has a fine polymer mesh under the metal mesh wax guard that is hydrophilic (attracts water) and is the culprit for the reduced and sometimes total stopping of the sound. Remove it and replace the metal mesh and that will likely solve the problem. I have had several earphones with the same problem and because I often listen all night by morning the sound would quit, so lengthy listening sessions seem to exasperate the problem. Every one that had the problem had the polymer mesh and removing it fixed the problem. Using foam tips probably vent moisture more so than silicone and helped mitigate the problem as well. Many have complained that the BA5 does this as well, so I wouldn’t doubt if it has the polymer mesh too.

Oh yes, I forgot about my 16 core TRN cable. That's perfect as well!

I really need a CCA CA16 review...
I can order them right now for 59$ from linsoul audio, but i dont want to throw away 59$
if i dont like them.
I just need to know if that 7mm DD will be able to deliver enough sub bass.

Been waiting for a new CCA. My C12 and C16 were my favorite daily commuting sets for a long time. If they were able to get a nice warm sound without sacrificing detail or extending treble too much, I'll be happy.

I recently got the V90 (which is ok), and the Blon BL-05 is on the way. I feel like the CA16 will best both.

I ordered mine a few hours after they were announced, so I assume I should be amongst the first to get them. They are currently in the void that is sorting warehouse hell in China though lol, who knows when it will arrive
