The shop was serious, and the users got furious….I just hope it wouldn’t have any lingering and rippling effects 😂

Well, if the shop didn't allow me to audition N8ii because I need to wait till the player warm up, I am sure I won't be happy, but I never expereince anything near that in China.

My Luxman tube amp and McIntosh tube amp for speakers both blink until they are up to running temperature. The Luxman won’t even allow you to try and play music until it stops blinking or warming up. But it’s around 3-4 minutes.
Now you just give someone … some ideas to never be the same again !

I heard From Andrew that it would start shipping out from 14-15th ?
I didn't get specifics just that he was expecting them in this week so yes shipping could happen early next week or who knows, I have known him to ship on saturdays!

I thought that with my n8 tbh, I'd usually give it a good 20 minutes play before listening. :L3000:

Don't know if it was placebo being class A but could swear it sounded better once warm.
I bought the N8 right when it came out in Hong Kong and I never waited more than 20 seconds. Its a solid dap , I even drop kicked it onto the concrete sidewalk when I accidentally dropped it.

Or maybe they are doing this on purpose so while you are waiting for 30min at the store, you wonder around and audition/buy more gear :D A clever salesman technique :p

Well many didnt like the tiny screen of the N8 and it isnt android. But to play my music on my SD card the N8 is fast and easy. I dont scan , I just transfer music and play.

That and jog-dial to control playback along with easy to push power/volume wheel. N8ii addressed that with a dedicated volume wheel at the top and traditional transport buttons on the side.
