I meant there look to be 2 versions of the players, given that Dignis case made 2 versions, and the player would be priced as that
You seem to be mixing up the N8ii thread and the Hiby RS8 thread

Oh, lol, I did for real! Was clicking on the rs8 link in my email and just posted =/ so weird! Also “unwatched” since a while, don’t know why it emailed me either. Thanks for the good call

Very neat…mqa-CDs are starting to appear in Japan. I ripped one and it is unfolding properly on the 8ii

Has anyone compared N8ii to the DX320 yet?
I still can't go to try DX320 in shop because of the heavy rain and flood situation during this period. :joy:
Yeah, keep your N8ii.

I had both at the same time.

I kept the N8ii and sold the DX320. The DX320 is a great DAP but for me, my use and my preference for not having to change modules then the N8ii is the better option.

Hi all. Should I get N8ii or wait for SP3000, Hiby RS8?

N8ii or RS8, the only reason I'd pick sp3000 is for the roon integration...
In my country, N8ii is not much popular but I can see my recommendation here in Head-fi.

I think n8ii lives up to it's hype and the rs8 is the new kid on the block which has a lot of things going for it on paper except perhaps the measurements but I a/b/c/d/e the n8ii dx320(my own) sp3000 LP6 and rs8 and I couldn't get over the rs8 sound. with the n8ii having a preference neutral tuning and playability that the others I feel lack(tubes being a big part of that) so that's why I said those are your two big ones imo. If you're looking for a future proof stream ready with r2r NOS capability. That imo sounds better than the LP6 which is more expensive and off line only player with totl sound. I just don't see how it makes sense not to buy the rs8 But that's after my audition of the unit and we can have different tastes or preferences. Maybe if you asked a little more questions on each unit it could help you make up your mind or do some research and come up with a question that could tilt you in favor of one or the other.
