When the time is right. Nowadays, too many stuff get released before they actually are fully ready to hit the shelves. I hope Cayin will get the N8II delayed as much as needed to offer the demanding customers we are the experience we are hoping for.

Still, please Cayin, make it happen quickly

Isn't it the pic in the 1st post? Andy updated it not too long ago (might be a mock up though, not entirely sure) I am hoping that is the final case though. It looks like Shanling, Lotoo, and Cayin crafted a love-child.

That is possibly just a rendered picture. I doubt dual Korg tubes could fit into that compact chassis....unless it is as large as Dx300Max or so

Yes, that's a rendered picture.

I don't know the dimension of DX300Max, but I can give you a number and you can figure out the different. N8ii is 284.8 cm3

DX300 MAX is 16.2cm x 7.7cm x 1.7cm so 212cm3 I think.

I have permission to post this. It should answer a couple of obvious questions. But, before anyone asks, I'm feeling that if the C9 and FiiO M17 had a love child, you'd get the N8ii, roughly speaking.



Also, I'm behind in reviews -- editing a bunch of previously-shot footage of various ones at the moment, including of a lot of stuff you can see in the picture.

Thanks for lifting that tip of the veil.. It's bigger than I expected but it appears to be within relatively usable dimensions...

Is Cayin N8ii going to be revealed at Canjam?

Cayin N8ii will make its debut in CanJam New York 2022. This is the first occasion we reveal our new flagship DAP to the public. We have planned to showcase the N8ii engineering samples on several shows in China last year, unfortunately the arrangement didn't work out. We are grateful that our US dealer @MusicTeck will provide all the necessary support to make this happen at CanJam New York next week.

Cayin will host a N8ii announcement live streaming on 24 February evening 8pm (UTC+8). The online streaming will take place at Bilibili.com. In case you want to check out the real N8ii on video as early as possible, I'll post the link here when the live stream begins. Unfortunately the livestream will be conducted in CHINESE only and there will be no English subtitle avaialble.

I'll post an English announcement with product detail around 2 hours after the live streaming.
