Shouldn't we consider what is the complete package instead of jumping to a conclusion with a number?
Looking at my 2d time faulty n5ii i am far from having confidence in complete packages sorry

No problem with that, we have issues, and we deal with it sincerely, but I hope this is not the reason to let go a brand completely. Please take a step back, wait for the user impressions, there is no need to rush into a conclusion because of that either.

It would very much depend on price, i love the Cayin sound, but interface seems too similar to cheaper models and i wish there's a model with less gold
This one reminds me of that time i was in a Dubai 5star and you could buy gold bars from machines

My friend, I have no idea why you seem to be very familiar with the UI of N8. On the other hand, you said sound is all you care and UI is not your concern when you talk about L6. It is difficult to carry on a discussion like this, shall we take a break and wait for more user feedback and full disclosure before we continue?

Cayin has no intention to come up with a ridiculously priced DAP, so I consider your statement as a compliment to our product and pricing strategy. Thank you.

On the other hand, I am not so sure if Lotoo will appreciate your endorsement that they have a good reputation on the issue of "ridiculously priced dap".

I am so into this DAP if it can come in a decent number under 3k

3k so puts me out of the game , and i really want this DAP

Fingers crossed

Joking aside, I am also looking forward to compare N8, Pow Touch, R2R2000 and LP6 side by side, this is definitely something worthy looking for as a portable audiophile, ... yes, I am still very much into this game and spending more than I should on this hobby. :beerchug::beerchug::beerchug:

Sorry for the bad photo quality, this was taken by mobile phone at a rush, originally mean for internal record only.

Now do you see what I see?

Are we looking for a difference between the two? Or something else?

Yes, different between the two, and possibly a reason to explain them. :L3000:

something else, besides a double sided sticky mounting tape (I assume) on the left unit?

Yeah the thick tape/Velcro-looking things on the edges of the left one is the only thing I saw too. My guesssssss is this is either to provide some protection against falls or bumps, and perhaps dissipate some heat. Like when your wife goes into a fiery rage when she finds out how much it costs and throws it at your head or out the window.

That might also be to help reduce the microphonics of the tube.
