Hi there! Planning on getting one but am just worried about the korg tubes lifespan (rated at aroung 30,000 hrs) and i tend to keep my players for at least 5 years.
Try 30 years! At 3hrs a day it will last you almost 30 years. Lol.

30,000 hours and how many hours do you plan on listening per day ?
8 hours per day continuously each day including weekends, you are looking at 3,750 days.

given 365 days a years, you will be 10 years and 2.7 months if you keep playing it that way.

if you are using tubes only 4 hours a day instead of 8, you will be looking at 21 years or so

if you are only 2 hours a day, then you can be 42 years....and hopefully that is long enough

Another thought. I actually prefer the 4.4mm SS output on my N8 BB. As there are no tubes in this connection, if you like it there is no worry about lifespan ( obviously nothing will last forever ). I doubt you will have an issue either way.

I will only need to sell off my wm1a before i can get me an n8. So last question before i finally decide. How is n8 compared to n6ii with r2r? A lot has been urging me to go with the r2r n6ii instead of n8.

Why does it constantly fail to read my files on my sd card? One moment it would be fine then if i change over to internal files then go back to sd card it wont read and instead would always say theres no music.
