First experience in developing custom leather pouch for our lovely toy. I've tried Dignis Borsa and VanNuys cases but all of them have crucial flaws for me.
Dignis Borsa is slightly small for N8 + Dignis case, Van Nuys VD958 has ugly centered unuseful velcro strap. VanNuys VD959 bothered me with every time unplugging 3.5 or 4.4 jack while inserting or putting out dap.
So i've decided to create my own)

A recent observation …

In “normal” use, powering off the N8 and leaving it for a bit generally results in a battery depletion of 2-3% per day.

For reasons I haven’t figured out yet, you can fully power the thing off, with 100% charge, and come back the next day and have the battery at 0%. This is likely some weird software issue, and does not happen all the time, bu it’s annoying when it happens. Still an issue on the latest v2.5 firmware. And very likely some weird requirement of how you shut the device down, but the randomness means it's unpredictable and a bit annoying.

I put my N8 in a pelican case and I think I moved things and the N8 moved inside. Hence the on/off button was pressed and it stayed on inside. Hours later I opened the pelican case and the N8 was hot.

Mine wasn't hot. Nor warm. Just depleted. I am guessing something didn't shut down fully. I've seen this once before. It is generally well behaved.

Though on firmware v2.5 it seems to be charging half as fast as normal. Nothing else has changed (same cable and charger).

I wonder if the Go Home button csn get stuck and cause the player to not fully shut down ?
