I wonder if you have ab tested 1z and n8.

Though when I ab 1z and hugo2 I preferred 1z by a high margin.

So far didnt have any opportunity yet to audition n8 or lpgt . But I use 99.99% my 1z as bluetooth dac from s9 to stream spotify . Yep spotify )

I am leaning toward the LPGT. It sounds like a good fit for me.

I didnt have the 1Z and N8 at the same time. I did have the N8 , SP1000 , LPGT , R6PRO , DX220 at the same time.

Its interesting how they only use one dac to sound good. Also how its 4.4 balance sounds like its 3.5 connection.

I literally just sold mine on ebay for $1700 with the Dignis case. I much prefer the N8. If you dont' mind spending the extra $, N8!

The N8 is a few steps above the LPGT , but many people enjoy flat thin sounding daps and if they want to improve and give life to its sound they can use its EQ. A few members in the Lotoo thread can show you their extensive EQing.

Well both are heavy so both are not easy to use on the go. I treat the N8 like my home set up. N8 has three amps. Its 3.5 solid state amp sounds better than either the Sonys 3.5 or 4.4 and gives more details and wider soundstage . The N8 also has a 3.5 tube amp which sounds very detailed and analog. The N8s 4.4 is very transparent.

Hmm...It’s just like comparing BMW M5 and Toyota Camry with chip-tuning.
