I want to connect my DVD player with spdif output to my Cayin N7 to use it as DAC, I tried with Cayin spdif-Usb C coaxial cable, but I don't hear anything. Where am I wrong?

N7 does not support coaxial input, it only provides coaxial output, that's why you can't feed spdif output to Cayin N7

N7 only provides one digital input, USB Audio. If you must use coaxial input to N7, you need a DDC to convert SPDIF to USB, but that will introduce delay in your signal path, making it impossible to synchronize audio and visual signal correctly.

Have you checked different Android music player on N7?? Power AMP is quite a popular app that has always worked smoothly on my Hiby and Ibasso devices but for some reason it doesn't work on N7, the advantages of Android are being able to use different Apps but in this case I have encountered limitations, you can check this please?? Thank you

I’d also like to know if someone is using a BT remote like Chubby Buttons with the Cayin music app or Apple Music which I use quite a bit. I have a Sony DAP and you can’t use a BT remote other then the Sony remote. Thanks a lot.

so I can't use my N7 as a dac for the cd player if I don't have a ddc? i am disappointed about this. instead, how can I exploit it with my Macbook Pro with Thunderbold 3 ports? do i use any usb c to usb c cable?

Does anyone else notice a slight clipping noise between playing songs on the N7? I notice it with 3 different IEMs and 2 different players. On balanced it's on right channel. On 3.5mm it's more both.

May I ask what exactly do you mean by "stringy"?
They sound amazingly good, the tube adds some more body and timbre realism.
I rank them together with the Elite.

Hello, I'm looking for a upper-mid end game for my Meze 109 Pro, the Cayin N7 seems to be an interesting choice. Should I buy a full-fledged stack (Bifrost 2/64 and ifi Pro Ican Sig come to mind) or just this small cute but mighty DAP like this?
