Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

Going single-ended will probably give the best improvement among the Cayin boards, and then using IEMatch. I also think that A01 and T01 hiss about the same.

I just popped in T01 after a week with E01 and I agree with T01 description. T01 is wide and airy. Extends the bass focus towards sub-bass. E01 has a little more body to the sound and I would also say punchier and drier. A01 is even more organic and natural (smoother) IMHO.

With my testing I see A01 & T01 as the ultimate N6ii amps modules they offer great alternative to each other. Quiet and very addictive sound.

I find T01 more organic then A01 because of the timbral tonality. A01 is as you said very warm natural silk smooth the timbre is not as organic vs t01. Also T01 is the closest sounding to my 1z/romi

I only have A01, but are you saying that you feel A01 is preferable to E02 ?

T01 id say. If you already have a01 then adding T01 would make more sense to my thinking

I have something strange happening with my E02 when the track is skipped or it changes dsd etc to flac the left and right channel don’t come on together there is a 1/2 second delay from left to right before the audio kicks in is this normal ?
I wondered if it’s something to do with the balanced circuit.
also I changed my cable on my OG Solaris to the fiio pure silver and the hiss is reduced and I prefer it to the new fiio cable with interchangeable plugs.

it sometimes happens to me when playing a track for the first time after the E02 has been idle for a long time. But not when skipping tracks with different formats.

These comments on the E02 are a little worrying, and I must admit that I’m a bit hesitant to buy one at the moment.

I know it sucks from huge success of a01 and t01 you would think e01 and e02 would be same but boo boo happened!

So far I have no issues at all with E02, it sounds absolutely amazing, it’s working well, no hiss (since I don’t have sensitive IEMs). Again, my only wish is that battery life can be longer, but it’s coming from a person who has been indulged by WM1Z‘s battery life for the past 3 years. So no complaints at all.

That’s normal, it has something to do with the amp design I think.

I know that the Solaris are sensitive but I wasn’t aware that the Forte Noir were. I have the Trio and Legend X so I don’t know how they would be. What IEMs do you have?

EDIT- I just realised the IEMs are in your signature 🤭

Just to confirm, since I received this DDHifi DJ30A adapter, it works and you can use SE cables with E02.

My unit arrived today! Obviously no hours on it but I had to give it a few minutes of love and see if the sound differed at all. And it’s a completely different level from my M11. The engagement factor of the music is immediately apparent. Will enioy the next weej

Is that with the E01 ?
