cayin themselves advertised it as being available with any one of the modules.

believe it now?
i think you're misunderstanding me... wish you would read more carefully. we're actually agreeing with each other. im telling the other guy that you can get the n6ii with any module, while HE is saying that it will only come with the E01. Man, people on this forum have very low reading and comprehension skills.

I never said the N6ii comes ONLY with E01. I said it CAN be bought with the E01. “Can” is very different from “Only”.

I now have everything in place to enjoy my N6ii as a portable system and as a bedside system - IEMs, over-ears, headphone amp, microSD card, all interconnents, fast-chargers, etc, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have my N6ii yet! Awaiting stock from the seller, which is apparently on the way from Cayin. The wait is agonising.

At the risk of sound dumb, can someone tell me how to change amp mode on E01?

Pull down notification bar and tap to switch between Class A and AB

OK but when I pull down that menu the A or AB icon is not there. Neither is the class option.

As it was mentioned above, you have old fw, need to update it to enable E01 support.

I did update the firmware, and checked several times.

Which fw version do you have loaded now? Look in Settings, about device, build should be 1.18EN. That's the one where E01 support was added.
