A sound quality comparison between E01 in Class A mode vs E02 in Class AB mode would be interesting.

Hmm, why not AB vs AB?

I would expect AB to AB to be better on the E02. If AB on the E02 was better than A on the E01 then that would be amazing.

I only use AB on E01, which I like quite a bit more than A?

I think it won't be a direct conclusion. I use class A for Solaris, as it sounds more sibilant on AB mode, whereas u12t sounds good on the AB mode and not on A! I just hope that sonically E02's AB mode is better than E01. That will make the purchase really worthwhile!

I will be selling all of my other cards once I get E02 other than A01 (mainly getting it due to its better battery life vs E01)

I will definitely think about it brother, I too have the E01 and A01 for now, but then I am not very sure if the E02 will be an outright winner, as E01 uses a 9038pro chip Vs 9038Q2M on the E02. However it all boils down to implementation! But I also trust Cayin with this as they have done a good job so far, at least imo! I will buy it hoping they have continued the good work on E02 as well! I am eagerly waiting for the lockdown to end and E02 to reach me, as I have planned to get the oriolus BA300s as well as hum-ma1b to use with E02! I just hope all of these combinations turn out to be as awesome as I think they would be!

Cheers,
Vishy

Wouldn't listening to it first make sense?

battery life on both are 9.5h?

Hmm I have been getting quite a bit less with E01; I also found it doesn't go loud enough when used with my Utopias.

Certainly. I very much look forward to @twister6 's review.
Sadly, heading out for a listening test is next to impossible in the current environment.

I'll be reviewing E02, but won't have E01 for comparison. I've got a T01 coming with the N6ii shortly. E01 would be nice for comparison. I've no interest in A01, quite warm sound just isn't my thing, generally.
