Just upgraded to 1.4en for iiS and it seems to be snappier and with much better power management. Sounds very good as well on my F9 and new cable. Treble is smooth like sand , bass very punchy, maybe lack of some sub-bass, but it’s a matter of IEMs IMhO.

Question: How do I know if mine is a early production model with the weaker 2.5mm jack?

If I'm correct it didn't affect the n5iiS. Only very early model n5ii

Good question SoundDouble, I would like to know that too. Probably based on the serial number they can tell us that. Also would be nice if they had some sort of DIY method to reinforce the jacks on our N5ii.

I've seen somewhere in the thread that the jacks were improved on the S version @mkrzych.
Not sure to what extent though, I personally own the original N5ii.

Also, I have to ask and NEED an answer but is the volume knob supposed to be icky? Like, I when I turn it there's this like slight and almost random "clicking" going on but it's not at all consistent and almost gives the feeling something is wrong. Thanks!

My volume know is the same. It doesn't always click. It doesn't seem like its broken either though

Nah, and it's a real slight click when it does...almost more like something isn't quite right.
