For HD650 or HD600 you will be better served to run them in full balanced mode using the 4.4 socket of N3 Pro, then it will perform with full dynamics as the power output will be at 110mW which is similar to desktop level amplification. So be prepared to replace the cable of the HD600/650 to 4.4mm balanced if you plan to use them with N3 ProHello,
I have this dap, I use it with Iems. I like to buy some headphones.
Has anyone tried this dap, with Sennheiser hd650 or hd600? My other option is Hifiman HE400i 2020 version.
Best regards

HE400i will run fine on the SE Tube phone out, it is just the HD600/650 will only sound better from the Dual AKM Balanced setupThank you very much for the answers. I wanted to use the tube output too. I should think about buying the Hifiman. But I'm afraid it's worse sound quality.
Thanks!
Weird, UAPP in bit-perfect mode should sound pretty transparent. I haven’t tried connecting the N3Pro to my PC, perhaps the driver signed by Cayin optimizes playback. Can someone clarify if there's a better USB drivers that can be used on Android phones? (not UAPP) but something that is a bit more generic that will allow Tidal app to use it. I am asking because the last time I connect my N3 Pro to my phone I wasn't impressed with the output as I know it performs a LOT better when connected as a DAC with Windows 10 Cayin driver
No I already mentioned earlier not UAPP as I don't want to use UAPP because I prefer to play Offline Tidal which UAPP can't do. And yes UAPP probably will play a lot better I believe. So as you said it could be the weak current that was from my Xiaomi Mi10t Pro. I sold that phone already and uses LG V35 now. So perhaps I can try with a different phones and see if it is still the sameWeird, UAPP in bit-perfect mode should sound pretty transparent. Otherwise it could be because of the weaker current from the phone powering the DAP.
I don’t know of any generic solution that would work with Tidal, and I’m doubtful any exists as Tidal playback would require a license and the Head-fi community would have heard about it.
Yeah you could try that. And to make sure you can get an external battery and a device to connect everything together, as I posted here, so you’re not dependent on the phone’s current. It’s quite the footprint though. No I already mentioned earlier not UAPP as I don't want to use UAPP because I prefer to play Offline Tidal which UAPP can't do.
