No issues, upgrading from 1.3 to 1.4. Stable system, seems to run a little warmer but not as hot as 1.0 to 1.2, and don’t really perform critical listening for audio changes - sounds great as 1.3.
I do find 1.4 warms up a little bit more and faster compared with 1.3. The caveat is I have also switched at around the same time to listening in H gain but at low volume. Will gain and volume affect the operating temperature?

Thanks for your feedback. I will therefore soon upgrade to 1.4.

@Andykong and others

I was testing the N30 for gaming yesterday and I observed that there is quite notable delay/lag/latency (call it what you want) of the audio signal in the different settings of bitrate. Few things are strange:

1. in the driver settings, the delay can be regulated by setting the shaders (?, I can't remember what it's called, I'm not at my PC right now): the lower, the less delay according to the app. But at the lowest setting (specified 1.30-1.70 ms) there is significantly more delay than at the higher setting (specified 25-30 ms or even more).

2. as a rule, the lower the bit rate, the less delay. But the opposite is true here.

3. there is more delay with "Safe mode".

4. important: with all the DAPs I have tried that have exactly the same type of app (I assume the basic drivers are the same), the app has behaved exactly the opposite: the lower the settings of the shaders, the less delay. And there was more delay exactly in safe mode. And with these daps there was no observable delay, absolutely nothing.

Yes, I know how to deal with this: I have uninstalled all previous drivers, really everything, not only from the Windows settings, but also with a specific driver uninstaller app. I deleted every system file.

So the question is: Is this all normal or is there something wrong with the drivers?

To clarify the condition of your observations, you are using Cayin USB Audio Driver V5.58.0? with which version of Windows OS (and build number if possible)?

Probably will be the most used app for local playback for me. I liked it on the N8ii, on the RS8, still like it on the N7, with the going on of the years i can sometimes use a tas more treble and i also sometimes like to fiddle with those settings... :)
Ok
Just thought I missed a hidden firmware feature

May I ask what is MSEB ? Is it a new feature of 1.4 ?
It's a specific Hiby DSP feature built in natively in Hiby DAPs and there working system wide.
On N30LE you can try it using the Hiby Player app

Thank you for the reply!

Yes, this is right: Cayin USB Audio Driver V5.58.0 and the last version of Windows 23H2 build 22631.3007.

We have tested v5.58 with MS Windows 11 again, but in our setup, when we reduce the ASIO buffer size, the lip-sync delay will decrease accordingly, so our observation is not in line with your testing.

Can I check with other N30LE users who have connected your DAP to a Windows 11 as a USB DAC? Will you get better audio and visual synchronization when you reduce the buffer size?
