Any mention of price anywhere?  Also from the looks of the photos it seems somewhat slimmer than some of the other android players doing the rounds, nice to see some curves on the player instead of sharp edges.   This is one to keep an eye on methinks.  Hopefully won't be too long before it reaches european shores!

Really? On the price list Andy showed me it said 689? Maybe I looked at the wrong unit, or maybe I just have it wrong. I was too distracted with the unit and his ZEN. I'm sure Andy can tell :)

I brought back some of their booklets because they look nice.

But I haven't ever seen these prices in EU though, normally it's cheaper than these listed prices.

Just arrived home, but my baggage is still on its way, the flight was delayed due to some strange immigration control in Munich, end up we can barely get onto our transit flight in Abu Dhabi but our baggages have left behind.

OK OK, there will be a tour, time to be confirmed, :D :D I hope we have a better response so that other countries will get benefited too, I still feel regret that I have have to turn down someone because he is the only person in his country wanted to do the tour, but end up the logistic cost is stopping it.

The US retail price will be just below US$500. The official launch date in Mainland China is 28 May 2016, and we expect to have it ready for US and Europe market within two months after that, we need to get local WiFi certificate before we can sell it at retail level.

I want to take this opportunity to thanks all those who dropped by our booth in Munich High End Show, I'll go through the thread again to make sure all questions has been addressed, there is no free WiFi on the site, so I couldn't get in pace with the discussion as usual, feel free to raise any question again if I haven't respond to you so far.

I have been slightly emotional at the Munich site when I introducing the N6, N5 and i5 Trio to customers who has never come across Cayin before. I still remember the date when I receive the N6 beta unit on Nov 2015, and N6 was formally launched on 28 Dec 2015, which is less that 18 months from now, but the accomplishment from N6 to i5 is jaw dropping, we might be a bit behind when compare with other DAP products, but we are catching up and looks like we'll be there very soon, we might have a few things to sort out, but looks like we are on the right track. :beerchug: :beerchug:

Cayin Stay updated on Cayin at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.

I feel that N5 v N6 are a bit in a different categories.  Unlike other manufacturers who start off with an entry level or mid-fi model and then scale it up to a flagship level, Cayin started with a bang! by introducing its flagship which also happened to be their first portable audio player.  N5 was supposed to be a mid-fi model, a level below, but it really felt like a step back and another step sideways to add and to improve on some features and ergonomics, as well as other differences related to sound quality.  I'm taking a wild guess that i5 could be positioned somewhere in between in terms of a sound, though in terms of its features and design it's already ahead of N6.  Looks like Cayin doesn't follow a linear path, but always have a step back or forward followed by a few big side-step surprises

If/when I get a chance to review i5, I will definitely make sure to compare it to both N5 and N6, though I think it's shaping up to be a better comparison to see where it stands relative to N5 and X7.
