Finally got to listen to some TOTL headphones, and boy do they not disappoint.
Bit of a missed opportunity for the Diana TC, as there were some prevalent jitter issues when paired with the V226.
Overall, might just be looking to pick up an Arya in the future.

Pleasantly impressed by the showing of Altiat Cal.1H, that with its price to performance ratio, made me bite the bullet and now I own one in its sandblasted variant.

I was wondering if anyone had the chance to try the zm2 and the n8ii at the show and is willing to share their impression.

I wasn’t at the show, but I did listened to the zm2 yesterday at a local dealer. And I also own the N8ii.
The zm2 sounded excellent. A good balance of musicality and technicality blended together. Compared to the N8ii, the notes are slightly more dense with more weight. Also tonality is smoother especially at the treble.
Just a disclaimer though, my N8ii is still new with not much time run/burn in.

I think both are excellent devices, I would be very happy with the Zm2 if I didn’t have the N8ii.
Also don’t disregard Am2, insane value that IMO performs at least 90-95% of the Zm2.

I don’t think there is a “CanJam fast lane”
It was the same delivery period that was quoted by Sony Wisma 2 weeks ago when I was at their store
I went to chat with Sony booth after you left and they told me after CanJam, if we order at the store estimated delivery time will be June-July instead. May be I misunderstood hahaha.

Elysian Acoustic Lab's new DIVA impressed the hell out of me. My favourite out of ALL the IEMs I tried yesterday, regardless of price range. Lee from EAL is a great guy to talk to too, show his booth some love today if you haven't already!

These look beautiful. I know Mr. Lee was working of new all BA set but thought it was the Hades V3.

Finally I found a travelling case for my gear at my firat CanJam ever.

The special thing is VanNuys' Singapore distributor himself came to CanJam with brandnew stocks and new models that are rarely seen locally. Case hunters may want to check this out.

I tried some IEMs and so far I'm really impressed with Vision Ears EXT, Oriolus Trailli, U12t, Acoustune HS2000MX. I also demoed See Audio Yume and Blessing 2 Dusk and I think I understand why they have a really solid fan base. This is the first time I tried these models and I like them all.

Personally the thing I love the most so far is trying the Cayin C9 for the first time. I really enjoy the tube sound, beautiful bass and smooth. What a pity that it is only for pre-order. If anyone is interested you may check it out.

What's your sound impressions of the Acoustune HS2000MX?

Any impressions of the Meze Advar?

Considering the Advar is a single DD set, it has quite good resolution and technicalities. It sounded like a Warm V-shaped tuning. Bass is north of neutral, but bass quality is nevertheless very good, with good texturing and a well extended sub-bass. Soundstage is about average, width > height/depth. Layering and imaging is pretty good.

The Advar sounds quite natural in timbre, lower mids are a tinge depressed, upper mids are forward without veering too much into shouty territory.

Quite a nice set for single DD lovers who want a warmish tuning.

Any impressions of the Meze Advar?

I heard it and I thought it was OK. It had a generous bass shelf with the lower-midrange slightly scooped. However, it had too much upper-midrange for me at around 3-5kHz which could make it sound glassy, if not slightly sibilant, on certain tracks. Similarly, the treble response was well-extended but I heard a peak somewhere in the mid-treble which could be distracting. Technicalities, like @baskingshark noted, were solid in my opinion. Probably like a B+ going by Crinacle's metrics off the top of my head.

I would like to thank Head-Fi for hosting this show once again in Singapore. Its a great honour to be a part of it even just as an attendee. It is such a change of pace from day to day life and frankly, the past 2 years as a whole. Its nice to socialise, be around and share a room with other like minded people. I even managed to see some people who I have only been able to see on my phone screen while watching reviews.

Special mention to @sidrpm for letting me have that cool ass red Vannuys box. Now all that is left is for Sony to come through for my IER-Z1R to put in that box.

I actually didn't know about the Acoustune until today and I demoed it because it looks so beautiful (Optimus Prime IEM, why not!!!). I only listened to it for a short time so I don't think I can do it justice here so please take this with a bucket of salt. Overall I think it's a a pleasant IEM that handles my play list fairly well. I especially love the details, clarity and layering. However the bass, while done well qualitatively, is a bit too lean for my taste, and the treble is a bit more than what I'm used to (but my taste is more toward the warmer and darker side so YMMV. At first I paired it with my ifi mirco signature and I thought it was a bit too bright, but then when I paired it with my WM1Z and later Cayin C9 it sounds more neutral so synergy may also play a role here.

I concur but I find the Advar to be shrill sounding at times.

Oh hey thank you for trying them!!!! I was particularly excited for you to hear them because I knew they might be more your flavour than our more warm verite line-up.

I will write @Kristy Song and the Zepp team a note about pairings, but yes to anyone else trying our headphones at CanJam the impedance matching can be fairly important as our headphones are meant to show the character of the system they are plugged in to, we typically don't recommend headphone amps that have microscopic impedance that are like .001 or anything like that, as amps that are even 1 or above will lessen that damping factor and make our headphones sound much more "alive." Sounds like I may need to hit up my buddy @Andykong to check out that Cayin!!!

Wish we were there! CanJam is the best!!!! Thanks Ethan for the pics!

hey Zach, I found out from Kristy and Jeremy that the atrium on demo didn't have the mesh installed. is that the usual/recommended configuration?

good call on letting them know again about the poor pairing with the questyle amp. it really deteriorated the sound and simply didn't do the Atrium justice.

great job with the new drivers, crescent band, wood selection and the tuning! really very comfortable to wear and a joy to listen to.

I would like to give a massive shoutout to Jomo Audio for turning things round. After Samba & Flamenco, they released mediocre sounding IEMs in Jazz, Tango, Deux, Quatre & Trinity (to a certain extent). Now they are back to business with competent sounding IEMs. Really well played!
