I am keen to try some TOTL IEMs, is there usually a good selection available at these events?

Yes see the thread posts lol

What is the expected courtesy when trying IEMs, should I bring my own selection of ear-tips?

Most exhibitors have a pile of tips but some might not so just use any tips you are allowed to hold onto from another stand. A number of enthusiasts will bring their own purchased tips just because

Is there a Head-Fi meeting point / time?

Opening time is in the first post. Follow the signs at the hotel lobby entrance to locate CanJam and then join the queue to show your ticket

Unfortunately I no longer have a DAP since moving away from IEMs a while back, which isnt ideal. I might bring my Diana MRs though to hear how they sound through alternate sources.
Downloading some music that your are familiar with to your phone might be a good idea then - the wifi and reception wasn’t the best last year so some tracks available offline in case would be useful.

This is directed at any of the event organisers who are viewing this thread. Do you know if any exhibitors who are coming from abroad will now not be attending due to the outage which has seriously disrupted (among other things) air travel?

Anyone up for a pregame pint of craft beer tonight? Looking at Bermondsey Mile or a pub across the river from the meet
I'm interested. Are you keen to join the others (like 30 posts ago)? I'm flying in from Prague and should be available around 8/9 pm. But I'm flying with Ryanair who has the outages - so fingers crossed.

Am thinking about attending my first ever Canjam by going to Sundays event in London.

I am keen to try some TOTL IEMs, is there usually a good selection available at these events? Especially I would like to hear the VE10 and a Fei Wan, I understand the VE10 will be there with HIfonix but does anyone know if the FW will show?

Hey Marcus. There are lots of TOTL IEMs at the show. I find that just trying IEMs alone keeps me busy for a good part of the day, and that doesn’t even take into account other things connected to IEMs like cables, Daps, dongles and amps.

The show is basically made up of individual desks and stands. They all have chairs in front of them. If a chair is free at a stand that you’re interested in then just grab it. If it’s busy you can always wait around until it’s free. Anything that is currently fotm/hype will normally attract more people and so sometimes waiting is needed. I normally just keep walking around the show floor making a note of where things are and then taking a seat if it’s free.

People trying out gear at the stands can be there a while. Most will want to go through their playlists and perhaps change cables, ear tips etc. Some will also be sat there making notes of what they’re hearing. I’m not aware that there is any set time period that you need to adhere to, but I always try to stay conscious of people waiting in line and I try to be fair to them, especially if I’m listening to a much coveted IEM that many want to hear. All said and done there is so much gear at the show that you can always find something to listen to throughout the whole day.

Can we already see if the global flight disruptions affect some exhibitors (and visitors) to turn up tomorrow in London? (I am currently stuck in a European airport. 5 hours delay so far. Hopefully we will still take off.)

Hope that everyone can make it. It would suck big time for anyone that can’t make it. I’ve made my flight this morning. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for everyone still traveling.

I hope everyone has or will be able to make it if you are flying especially that sweet old man from Mass Kobo from Japan.

Already created my playlist

Making my 10 track test mixtape for Sunday. Can't wait. So excited. 🙂
Couldn’t keep my playlist down to 10 tracks, so I stopped at 17.

PSA for anyone that missed it: download your playlist/test tracks to your devices, because the internet connection wasn’t very good for me the last time I visited. Hope it’s better this time, but better safe than sorry.

Yeah that should work. I usually stream with Qobuz, so I was in for a surprise last time.
