Campfire Audio Polaris - New CA IEM

Try the slightly tacky silicone Final ear tips, I have better isolation (similar to foam tips) on my Polaris.
Also, stay away from silver plated copper cables for the Polaris, they add to much harshness ... Campfire Audio recommends pure copper for the Polaris.

edit: added link (not affiliated with any company, just sharing my experience after trying various ear tips)

really? i dont find to much different, even i can't spot Harshness when using Silver plate. I enjoy using silver plate due to the looks and make it a bit brighter, not noticeable... or this can be because I am playing from Smartphone...

Well, the litz cable from CA is great stuff...

Edit : I try A/B test with DAC / AMP, with Flac music, Silver plate make cymbal, have after tone that you can consider is Harsh... but for me is brighter... So I just quote some one in this forum, that although, we compare same music with amp etc, it will received different by the ear of the person.. It's a Preference...

I do remember, the song "lane Boy" Twenty one pilots, give KZ ZS6 fast sibilance sound, which i realized that when I used a proper IEM and DAC... But I liked that Sibilance sound, make the song have strong impression for me.. IMHO

So I will be going Silver plate on my POLARIS for some time... Bright with smooth round bass (not fast pace, but acceptable for me)

Well, I can say that Campfire's customer services is very good. Had the dynamic driver drop out on one side after just over a month of ownership. They were repaired and shipped back to me within a few days. Good as new!

Sorry to hear that happened but great that they replaced it and had it to you so fast! One of the reasons I went with CA was because of their customer service reputation

WOW, trying 2.5 mm balanced cable to Polaris, it increases the soundstage... reduce the high freq a bit, but became more enjoyable.. IMHO....
the rocket movement "on the run-Pink Floyd " (flac) resolution become distinguished.... using DAP Fiio X5iii... yes, it make polaris a bit dark, but the soundstage and resolution is new experience,,, IMO

additional, in pink Floyd song, where there is a man running, the sight of out breath really visual good...

Always looking at this Thread, but find no body seems have interest, and I think Campfire already take out Polaris from their portfolio. . And also that's irony of middle segment, threat it like middle child, must compromise the oldest and Compliant to the youngest... so middle will never shine....

Just giving my thought after using Polaris for 5 months, as my companion in Commutering in the morning and afternoon. Each trip, I listen for 1 - 2.5 hours. Or when I had Biztrip in plane.... this is the IEM that my hand always want to reach.
Previously, I always bring / use earbud from my iphone 5 with me to accompany my daily audio commuting.

My opinion, Polaris is unique Character, Hybrid that want to reach the best of each side, Dynamic Low, Sparking High, with a mount of Mid. compromising each to get optimal output of each frequency...

The Fun Factor for this IEM, IMO, make regular song sound different, and WoW effect appears, I believe this Campfire magic shine. I only use spotify (premium), more comfy and easy (Yes it consume big Data).
Using DAP or Stack it with proper Amp will be audio privileged, but not convenient for holding thick stack. So my Mobile phone will be the better option, Handy and easy. .

Sorry, this is not a review or a brag about how good Polaris are... But for me, this IEM is not easy to be replace.. have try & audition Andromeda OG & SS, Shure, Accoustone, Dita Dream... each are great IEM with their own unique ness, but still not making me away from polaris...
I really want to know Solaris, since it's like Polaris bigger bro...

I am just a daily audio user, looking for a better Audio quality on mobile uses..

My suggestion for using Polaris, based on my experience, is pairing with Warm DAP and get that clear detail sparkle...

recently, I bought Ref 8 Cable, and try with Polaris, not a great move for me, the microphonic effect is really annoying when the cable touch your sleeve or your skin... But the amount of detail from it is amazing.. just plug to my Note 8, alrd satisfied me.

Yeah, always thought they were underrated in the Campfire lineup.

The polaris is indeed a special breed of Campfire’s line up. There is an almost magical synergy between Polaris and Mojo-Poly combination. Warm but detailed with a nice sparkle. Perfect for Jazz fanatics.

3 Days past listening Polaris with Ref8.. here is my impressions (dont dare to say review)

Microphonic is very clear, something need to adapt, especially in song where only Vocal... try to be stone, dont make that cable touch anything.. hehehe

put a side the Microphonic issued. this combo is making a different character, Bright with overwhelming high freq detail (not sibilance), fast pace with a bit body at Low freq, and the good point of Ref8 is that the mid a bit foward, still V shaped though... Complicated ? yes that what I feel.

Simple to say, I can enjoy Accoustic song with this combo. Yes, the issued of sub Mid being overlay by Low freq is still there (try with Copper or Silver plate), but the mid can stand out clearly although behind That bass...

Again IMO.

With Alo Super Litz, from Solaris package...

impression : Mid and High better detail, with a bigger soundstage compare to Copper....
Low is much better with copper, in term of Body in bass, punch & pace is more on silver...
