As someone who unintentionally bought a Fauxlaris 2020 from r/AVExchange assuming that it was real, I advocate not giving them any business just to keep them out of circulation. It is so fake, they literally call it a reproduction and mention "as the original." denoting it to be a knock-off.

Yeah, they're definitely not authentic, lol. I'm curious how they compare to the real thing. Tonally they sound familiar from memory but I don't get the same sense of space and imaging that the real Trifecta delivers. I've got these for another week, so I'll try and make it down to A2A and compare it directly with a genuine Trifecta.

It’s tuning is not really my cup of tea if I’m totally honest. Neither is Trifecta, but at least Trifecta has a nice holographic stage and good imaging. The fake doesn’t have any of that special sauce at all

Did anyone pull the trigger on the Black Star? I think there are ~100 total?

I think I got lucky two other times with Campfire, and I think this will also be a win. The Andromeda Snow White filled the place of the Andromeda V.1 / OG - not a special as the OG, but still does the neat imaging tricks. Little outdated now and I've pondered selling them. I justify keeping them with their uniqueness.

Andromeda Gold, to me, is an Ara with bass, but it goes up through the mid and upper bass more prominently.

Plenty of Solaris variants out there - Black Star seems like a hybrid of a hybrid that someone in the office wanted a tweaked version of a new/upcoming/existing product. The price is my weak spot. Fingers-cross, hoping for something good. the IE 600 / IE 900 are my reference for dynamic bass. Bass is the foundation and I'm a head.

A few things with that amongst them, I think. So much noise here - keeps you busy all day if you let it. It was much slower when it was ALO / Audio Line Out.
