Sorry if this is a dumb question, but: how do you know this is the "wrong" packaging? To me, it looks like the one that can be seen on the pictures (https://campfireaudio.com/shop/andromeda-gold-ti/)

Oh I wouldn’t know if Campfire hadn’t sent out an email claiming that they messed up the packaging and case. It seems like we got the big carrying case for the Solaris.

Yep the black leather Solaris case is awesome I have that one for my Solaris 2020. Bigger and fits better especially if you have the SXC 8 IEM cable from AloAudio. It’s so thick due to the thicker gauge so bigger case is great. Hope I get this case when my AndroGo Ti arrives
#1 of 30 checking in. They are gorgeous, if I do say so myself
Just popped them in…it’s been awhile since I heard the “OG” Andro Golds, but these seem to have a bit more treble sparkle and wider stage than I remember, but I say that with low confidence as it’s off of memory. Perhaps due to using updated BAs?

Sounds promising! Would be very intrigued to hear a direct comparison but can appreciate it would be quite difficult. I suspect they've actually used the 'Single boot' in this one like they did in the Ara and which they didn't use in the original Andro gold (based off of marketing materials) which will likely change the sound a little.
Maybe I am glad I waited on the Onyx. I couldn't make a well-informed decision from CA's information, so I held. CA has some fervent fans, piquing my interest in the brand. But, I need something more than random sliders for me to purchase even an entry-level unit blindly. Maybe next time...
