It's sorta like geometry, where every square is a rectangle, but not every rectangle is a square.

Every Andromeda has the Andromeda shell, but not every IEM with the Andromeda shell is an Andromeda. This doesn't have the Andro shell, so it's unlikely to be an Andro iteration. The proof is left to the reader. Someone take away my morning caffeine before I say more stupid stuff on a public forum.

Andromedas are pretty good from the new iFi Zen Signature Hfm stack. As with the iFi Micro iDSD Silver the Campfire Audio Andromeda seem to pair well with the iFi Burr Brown sound. Even with the Hifiman tuning button. Is it my best combo for the Andromeda? I have no idea. But I like this one. Not much volume play though, need to try out that iEMatch+

That's a lovely stack right there and these Andromedas are awesome! They're sensitive though, but luckily iEMatch works well with them and now its balanced version is here

Thanks, I wish the IEMatch+ was available though. Hard to get it in EU.

For your next Zen Can revision I'd like to suggest the following:

Zen Can Signature v2
- IEMatch with 2 steps added to the 4 steps of PowerMatch
- Bass boost from the HFM or similar, off + 2 steps of Xbass would be appreciated, add 1 step above the Hfm Xbass for bassheads
- XSpace maybe, I havent played around with it that much
- Connectors etc like the Zen Can Signature HFM
- To keep down SKU:s for resellers and attract a wider customer base. Add the 6xx, HFM ActiveEQ in the same device. But maybe its not possible or wanted due to design topology, component cost, sound degradation or something.

That one should be interesting to many of us who use both headphones and IEMs while on the desktop. It would make a killer desktop stack with great usability and features =)

And likely the device I'd use for my Andromedas!

Our iEMatch+ was released just recently so not all our retailers might have it yet, but this should change fairly quickly.
