In other news my MW10 cleared Canadian customs in Vancouver today which means it should be in my hands tomorrow...I can't wait!

I find this such a strange move... what does this larger body iteration have over the previous SE? And if they are in fact using better drivers, why weren’t these used in the much more expensive SE?LMAO literally within hours of typing this I get this promotion via email:

Yeah this one does seem strange. The most logical explanation at this point is actually what someone already suggested, namely that they had some of the original shells to get rid of so they made them into another special edition. I actually thought that was the reason behind the SE as well...but who really knows. It's quite consistent with their whole "sustainable" business model. To be perfectly honest I haven't thought much about it since the announcement. I'm way too excited about my special edition Andromeda that should arrive in my hands in a few hours to worry about the special edition Solaris that just got released. Further, I'm happy with how my Solaris sounds and even if I had the money on hand for this LE I'd probably still be more tempted to get a Dorado.

So I got a chance to upgrade from a 2019 V3 to the 2020. Other than some loss of air the highest registers I am finding the new 2020 way better sounding in the mids and lows. I was never a fan of vocals and always thought the bass was a bit low on the 2019 version. Now all of that is fixed with the 2020 and its a whole lot better for a lot more genres of music that I listen to. Effort less, non fatiguing sound compared to the older version and I really have found my end game iems.

This is why I'm so excited about the MW10-- it sounds like it will combine the mid-range magic of the 2020 with the air and sparkle of the OG models. I really hope this is true.

You probably won’t be disappointed. Comparing to v3, they cleaned up the lower mids a bit, a raised a bit of the mid/upper range, kept the sparkle and actually has more sub-bass.
Compared to 2020, they have the added sparkle and more sub-bass.
We also want photos alongside the SE
Ta da! Initial impressions will come once I’m off work.

I'll post some pics hopefully later this evening.

These are easily the most beautiful IEMs I've ever owned. Unfortunately I don't know how helpful my impressions will be as I've never spent any significant time with the OG Andromeda and haven't heard the 2020 in a few months. Suffice to say the MW10 sound amazing...but they are very very close to what I remember the 2020 sounding like. At this point I would tentatively say that all my impressions of the 2020 basically apply here (however it's early days and I may have more to say on this later). Regarding the question of whether the MW10 has the "missing" treble sparkle of the 2020 I can't confirm or deny absolutely without listening to the 2020 (or the OG) again. That said it's noteworthy that, coming from 2.5 straight weeks with the MEST, which is known for its highs, sparkle and air, I don't find anything lacking or suffocating with the MW10 Andromeda. It could very well be that the MW10 takes the lows and mids of the 2020 and combines it with the relative brightness and treble profile of the OG...but I would have to hear the 2020 again to verify this for sure. Man oh man they are nice to look at though.
Edit: This could just be me in the midst of a renewed love affair with the Andromeda but the more hours I put on these things the more I wonder if maybe they do have some "secret sauce" of their own that places them on a sonic echelon above even the 2020.
