If you decide to sell you know who to contact :p

Ha...doubtful :p

This promises to be a lasting relationship...I've been coveting this one for a while just for the color scheme alone.

Once you listen, you won’t let go.

I’ve listened to quite a bit in my Top 10 list and it’s easily a keeper for enjoyment, SQ and fit. Just a really solid tuning.

As a self-proclaimed Campfire fanboy, I'd give a kidney for Ken and the team to do a B-Stock run next November.

I really hope considering how well the Gold run did, they'll bring back the MW10 to give everyone a chance.

Well Campfire being Campfire there are bound to be more special/updated editions coming out in the future.

Have you tried these?
Same effect for me but for home listening the Spiral Dots are definitely more comfortable, barely noticeable without sound compromise but not as isolating as the Symbios.

Hmm, reading more about your new tips, they are discussed as some evolution after foam and silicone, maybe worth a try...
I have tried the Symbio's (still have them) - initially I really liked them, but I began to notice about an hour into a listening session my inner ear would get sore. I would power through and did eventually get used to them...but I did ultimately removed them. I would switch things up and use a different IEM for a while...and when I came back to them, I would have to put up with the pain all over again... I wish the foam was just a little bit softer.

The SednaEarfit tips feel a little tacky - once inserted for about 5 mins, I like to give a gentle tug on the IEM to firm up the seal. But they're not for all IEM's - I tried using them with my CA Atlas's that I wear at work...but I frequently pull them out to chat with someone and the tackyness of the SednaEarfit's made it a PIA!

Yeah, seen that. Meh.

I understand the eye-rolling...but the Solaris is still my favourite IEM so there's no way I'm not getting hyped about this. I also prefer this look to the all-black 2020.

Pull the trigger :P I would have if it was an Andro 2020 LE with the nozzle from the Andro gold..is that too much to ask? 😂

No the MW10 is my big purchase for the season...and it still owns my heart at the moment. This Solaris is a North American release so it will always be available down the road if it proves to be good.

Solaris Limited Edition

Classic Size + Updated Sound
We revisited our classic critically acclaimed Solaris for a new very limited run of earphones.
A distinct machined lid provides a subtle nod to the unique identity of this earphone. Borrowing from the original with the internal acoustic chamber design and a bit from the Solaris 2020 with its exceptional drivers.
This is a limited edition that is sure to delight!

The musical realism you expect from Solaris, with a bit more room to breath.
Holographic presentation. Intimate detail retrieval. Soaring highs, engaging mids, and impactful bass. Music sounds like music with lifelike performances, superior layering, and unbelievable imaging. This is what you’d expect from Solaris and it is what this Solaris Limited Edition will deliver.

The critically acclaimed sonic character of our original Solaris, Solaris SE relied in part on the internal design of the acoustic chambers. The larger size of the earphone body has certain qualities that enhance the soundstage and interplay of musical elements. Solaris 2020 introduced our SolidBody design along with providing significant space savings. We also utilized the very best drivers available to us. These same drivers are folded back into this Solaris Limited Edition to essentially provide a ‘best of both worlds’ Solaris.

Classic size means a no-go for my small ears. Fell in love with the original Gold Solaris and even owned them twice, but the large shells were never a good fit. I'm curious about the part where they mention the larger size enhances the soundstage; makes sense from an acoustics standpoint, but I'm wondering how much different it sounds compared to the Solaris 2020.

Also, did anyone actually ask for this? Seems like many prefer the Solaris SE as the "best" iteration of the Solaris; those who have heard it anyway.

Wow. What are the odds considering our discussion earlier today?

I'm very much in the same boat with @rantng with the fit and it will take me a lot to go back to a Solaris since I have the MEST now.

Andromeda Gold is my preferred Campfire sound as well that ticks all the boxes for me, so see no point in going back.

Yeah man my jaw dropped a little when I saw it and reflected on that conversation.

The MEST is a great IEM that definitely bests the Solaris in some regards. I find the Solaris to be a little more balanced and versatile and overall a better all-rounder for my tastes. The bass on the MEST is good to the point of distraction, however.

100% agree with your impressions on how they differ. If I had 2020, I think letting go of the OG was a harder decision.

I'm also a sucker for innovative, well-implemented technology at a great price and the MEST was the best (seriously, no pun intended this time) option for me and my personal tastes (that should be a permanent asterisk on every impressions post, too)!
