The 2020 will sound similar to the 2019 with improved imaging, more defined bass, more transparent midrange and cleaner treble. From OG Andromeda to Andromeda 2020, the green Andromeda just keeps getting better and it is still priced the same. The Andromeda 2020 is a brilliant refresh on such a legendary IEM.
One thing certain is that both Andromeda SE: Gold & 2020 sound great and ultimately, it depends on individual sound preference.
try to get an leonidas 2 for it .. the iem really scales up with this cable

I find the dx160 pairing to be dark and too thick. I'm considering getting an iematch to increase the output z. Do you find it to be the same?If only I have the DX160 in blue and gold too. That would be a perfect match.

I would go with the Double Helix Clone Silver, it is a resolution beast and let's everything come thru clean. Also, it's lower in cost but it takes awhile to get.try to get an leonidas 2 for it .. the iem really scales up with this cable

If you go to the Double Helix or Norne Audio websites they both are against any plating or alloys in the cable. The are both recommending OCC copper, silver or fusion for the best signal transmission and then it's the cable construction that then really effected the sound.cant say for sure , but i guess its the Palladium what make this cable so awesome sounding
i cant say for Double Helix , but i had a few pure silver and pure copper cables..also mix braids etc.. nothing sounded as good as leonidas 2 , but man taste and ears are different
if you havent tried it.. try it its worth it
