someone said bass Andromeda not equal k10u ??
andro bass not depth as k10u ?

The bass depth and impact is dramatically increased with an aftermarket premium cable.

Do you have measurements to support that claim? In my personal experience, swapping cables yields extremely small changes, and most of these are changes in impedance, which changes volume. When volume matched - most perceived changes disappear. Even to change the Andro's frequency response "dramatically" you'd need a cable adding impedance of more than 5ohms which would be pretty rare.

But again, I have the gear to measure it. I'm yet to find any cable which makes a "huge difference" - either audible or measurable.

In my personal opinion - if such a cable exists, then it is faulty by design.

My thoughts exactly. I will say that the boutique cables definitely look better most of the time and are sturdier too. Sound wise though; well @Brooko said it best.

I truly believe in not messing with the final tuning (by messing with the impedance via cable) of a product that took a year or more to tune by the creator. Campfire Audio has done an awesome job with the Andromeda that I enjoy week and week out. If it ain't broke don't fix it!!

This being a CFA/ALO thread, I was respectful in not specifying a particular cable and was following in the topic line of Ken's Ref 8 cable. I respect your opinions, and I should have been more careful in selecting my wording as it could imply that "any aftermarket cable" will produce a vast improvement. I'm dropping it at that.

So,here`s my issue with my 5 moths old gold plated copper EXO set of cables. The green is OXIDATION/ sulfation mark.I called them and they keep telling me that this is normal, while I and many of my friends believe that this may cause problems on audio quality.Either way, this is evidently a significant sign of poor build quality for a 2k dollars pair of cables.
Does anyone has experienced the same issue?
Is it normal?Does it affect the audio quality? And what do you think i should do?
THANKS

My friend's other cable did oxidised to green.

It's normal to oxidise but if the description says they done extra coating to prevent oxidising, how can it oxidised so fast?

Since the same post was published in multiple threads in different forums, we should clarify that gold plated copper is the only wire we have that does not have enamel coating (litz) since it is relatively new to the market. All other wires offered have litz.

I bought 3 of the company's cable.
The sound quality was not changed,But the appearance was very important to me if I knew I never bought

My friends say the same thing:wink:

Well I'm pretty confident that you won't have the same problem with the new cable.
