They are popular and ALO is a small company and they're handmade by them there in Portland. No easy way around it.

Anybody have experience of listening to kings of leon and nickelback through Andromeda? If so how would you describe the experience?

Cheers
Awful. But that's just the nickleback :smirk:

Sorry I actually thought you were asking in jest. I've never actually met anyone who likes nickleback. They're pretty much universally hated for no real particular reason

I've been coveting a pair of these since Moe mentioned them in the QP1R thread. I'm concerned about "hiss" that I read someplace though. I'm glad that there's a thread here so that I can get some answers from other member's posts. = )

which ones are you referring to?

Actually, I just used the ever elusive "Search This Thread" and found a few posts to provide some answers. I opted out of buying a OneWheel because I decided it wasn't the best idea to be cruising around the city with an 18 year old hip replacement that doesn't always stay in place. So that freed up $1500 to spend on a different shiny object.

Let me clarify...lol. I've been interested in the Andromeda's since first reading a few posts about them. To be honest, I've got them sitting in My Cart on CFA's site right now...but I'd like to read more before just pulling the trigger.

right lol. Ye they are special apparently, I really need to hear them as they are on my shortlist of 2 right now. Thing is, by time I pay import tax etc to UK price rises significantly. Im going to see my rents in Aus in october, if I decide to buy them then, I will buy them over there and bring them back to avoid the increase cost
