ye its weird lol. James Bay is pure quality! His album chaos and the calm is a great album. For anyone who is not familiar with this guy, I pitty you. Go listen... this is one of the main albums i want to test Andromeda and my mojo with

You should try the new Foy Vance album (if you haven't already) if you like James Bay - similar sound, amazing voice and brilliantly recorded. It's becoming one of my "go to" albums for testing out new gear.

e I know vance joy, I discovered him a while back when I was visiting family in Australia. He's like the Aussie Ed Sheeran, cool songs!

hi guys, im looking for an upgrade from my westone w10, i have read through most of this thread and orion seems to be the best <$400 IEM right now, is there any other brands i should consider for this price? another question is do these work well w/o amp and do they scale w/ amp? thanks

I have owned the Orion and found the SQ to be very much to my liking. It has a transparent, open sound which lends itself to beautiful vocals. It is at its best with acoustic, vocals, jazz and similar genre's. Overall a very neutral phone. Probably not the best choice for hard rock.

Let me clarify...lol. I've been interested in the Andromeda's since first reading a few posts about them. To be honest, I've got them sitting in My Cart on CFA's site right now...but I'd like to read more before just pulling the trigger.

Trust me, they will sound much better in your ears than in your cart! They are truly excellent, one of the best I have heard. Go ahead, click the button!!!

oh right I will have to look into fance then lol, strange, I always thought there was a multpile pronounciation of the guys name lol

Fance? Look into whom: Foy Vance, Vance Joy, or one of the few Fance's I've found such as Donte Fance?

What if Vance Joy met Fance Voy while eating Bok Choy?

both just to be sure lol

I checked them both out - my wife and I agree, we still like Ed Sheeran more - but, Vance Joy has a bunch of songs that when I heard them I said to myself "Oh, I know this!"

Ah I will have to have a good listen. Ed sheeran is different gravy, he's a pure class act. His albums sound amazing. I can only imagine that they are audible magic through the Andromedas....

Yeah he's one of those artists, his hits are on the radio and you don't know who he is until you hear his stuff.

This Foy Vance character I refuse to listen to on principal.
