Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I switched to spiral dots and have been wearing the Andro's for about 6 hours straight with no fatigue like I get from the stock gels. I think due to the shorter insertion is getting a stronger fit in the canal which keeps them from drooping then causing pressure points.

The Spiral Dots on the Andro is still best for me. The Symbio Ws are locked away in the ear tips stash ever since I got them.

Happens to me all the time. That's why I keep them in the DryCaddy every night
I see the Drycaddy is out of stock I wanted to order the cloth cascade pads and the drycaddy at the same time to save on shipping costs.

Is the drycaddy basically the same thing if I put a scilican gel pack in my pelican case with my Andromedas?

I do plan to also use the "older" non extra faceted shells for some special edition IEMs at a later date.

So to answer your question no there is not a modified smoother rounder corner IEM now or in the works.

Thanks

Ken

Is the new Andro S is of non extra faceted shell as mentioned by Ken back in Sept 2016?

SE846 cable (EAC64CLS) which costs about $25 and is well made (assuming you like the fit).
IMHO, it toned down the treble slightly, making the sound more balanced for my tastes.
BTW, I tried the Andromeda’s cable on my SE846 and it brought out more treble (which they tend to need). Too bad the cable is too short for me though.

Thanks, I just tried SE846 cable (EAC64CLS) with Andromeda, you are right! it toned down the tremble, making andro more balanced and enjoyable for long time listening.

Thanks I am ordering it.
However It looks like a tight squeeze to put Andromedas in their with the cable every night.
Anyone using this are you unplugging the cable from the IEM to fit in the dry caddy? Or do you not put the lid on and leave the cable hanging out? I don’t want to wear on the connectors by removing the cable every night

It fits with the cable albeit a tight one

I usually use the pods in a bigger airtight container, I would not suggest to remove the cables every time.

I asked @malvinviriya to measure the Andromeda demo at Zeppelin and Co., as well as my Andromeda S. When we were wrapping up, we ran into a dude with an Andromeda (plus a Double Helix cable and red Telos Audio stickers). The dude swore the Telos Audio stickers made his Andromeda sound better.

Anyway, here we are:

Not sure how to feel about those stickers, really.
