Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Anyone own a pair of Andromeda within Arizona?

I'd really like to have a short listening session before committing such a large some of money to them (I have my own tips btw). Of course, I have plenty of gear you can try too! :)

I would wait for the next AZ meet, but that isn't for another 6 months or so.

PM inbound.

Who else purchased the Andros in Pacific Blue? Love the Cerakote finish on it; previously had the green colored Andros and even babying them, I'd see chipping in the anodization. With these, I have no fear of them looking worn down.

Does anyone else find the WM1Z/WM1A to be too dark when paired with Andros?

Why, do you? I found it a bit on the smooth side(or not so transparent), reveal-ability wasn't it's strengths. I don't think Andro can really get dark, but can vary in degree of warmth depending on output impedance.

Yeah, I do. A little too smooth for myself. Maybe I just like the more neutral sound of the dpx1.

So I have the 64 Audio tour kit of Fourte + U18t right now... after a day of comparing, I personally wouldn't call either an upgrade from the Andromeda.. a bit surprising as they're both 3x Andro price.. they're both technically excellent but more of sidegrades in signature.. Fourte is quite bright and U18t is very warm, the Andro sits in between and overall more coherent and better tonal balance than both. Maybe I'll feel differently after some more comparing.

I’ll look forward to reading your thoughts on that indeed. I had a similar reaction to the Noble Katana, unfortunately only had a brief listen though. Nothing negative to say about the Katana, they did sound great and I think that’s how my friend felt about the Andromeda. But if you’d asked would I have swapped my Andromeda for them, not a chance. Absolutely love these little green gems and looking forward to taking delivery of the Vega in two weeks, talk about have your cake and eat it:ksc75smile:

Yeah, it's combination of things for me. If the price level were more or less the same, I would go with the Tzar, but I think they have priced it too far if looking at the market with so many competitions. This may work against them as if you put your TOTL at such a price-point, people will question the performance of lower Tier'd stuff of theirs. You have to be careful how to tag the price of your TOTL. Anyway, I didn't think the Tzar was 3x the Andro, but slightly better in the mids to treble which wasn't significant enough especially the bass, I'd expect better bass.

It's interesting that people say Forte is bright, I didn't find it to be bright at all, I thought it was a bit recessed for the highs in comparison to Tzar. I much preferred Tzar.

I prefer the Andromeda + GS849 pairing as it tightens the bass and increases the stage greatly. The crisp is enhanced which makes it more apparent. There is a livelier presentation with this particular pairing.

Looks nice, didn’t know they had brought out this cable. I’ve got the OS849 on my Andromeda at the moment, looks like it might be getting some company
Really like the box/pouch it comes with and a cable clip that will definitely not let go.
Nice pictures, cheers
