Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Thanks! CA stock tips definitely have a smaller bore than spiral dot tips. I can get a better fit with the stock, but I wish they offer more sizes. The spiral dot tips are very special and I think it does well with andromeda, I can just sense the difference in soundstage depth vs. spinfit tips right away. Spinfit tips lacks depth, but width and layering is about the same resulting in a flat 2d sound. It sounds pretty good though. Less bass response with slightly attenuated treble response vs. spiral dot tips does well my low output imp source.

I have some spiral dots that I'll definitely try.

From the photos it seems the the sound bores are quite wide on the nozzle. And the default tips don't have any sort of mesh to protect from debris. Anyone using them for a long period? Also, I'm wondering how much it changes sound using those fully open vs the Comply with mesh.

I might receive my package on Tuesday or Wednesday. A bit afraid that it will be an underwhelming experience when compared with the 846. Not that the Andromeda will be bad for sure, but I've read so much stuff about them before ordering that I guess the expectations are too high.

I've found that I like the Penon Audio tips best. For $4 USD you get 3 pair in S, M, L, so if you need different sizes for different ears, you've got em. The bore is larger than the SpinFit's but I can't compare them to any of the other silicon tips.

Anyone has both Vega and Andromeda? Around here the price between the two is almost exactly the same, so I'm still wondering if I did the right choice going Andromeda. Not that I'm unhappy, haven't even received them yet, but the Vega is gathering some attention and not sure how 1 dynamic would compare to the 5 BAs on the Andromeda.

Listening/comparing would be the solution, but I can't do that or even return a pair. Stuck with the choice if I open the box.

Why not resell em?

For what it's worth I have them both - when listening to one I keep wondering what I'm missing with the other and I go back and forth constantly.

I will say that more often than not the vega is becoming my go to for all types of music. I'm not and audiophile or musician and I'm going to try to describe what I'm hearing with these types of terms so here is my regular guy take on things.

The vega to me just sounds "real" - as if you are at a club performance complete with the booming base from the stage monitors thumping in your chest (yes the vega can somehow do this) and the vocals loud and clear above everything else.

The andromeda is more of a perfect "listening" experience where everything is presented "as intended" by the artist. I feels more like I'm in the seats at a very well produced stadium concert.

Each has its place and I have no idea which one I like the most - and it's been months ...

Both are good. Andromeda is overall more relaxing.

But if you want impact from Andromeda change the cable to something better. Pair with wide, short tube silicon tips are the best. (Andro's default or JVC Spiral tips)

With this configuration not only you hear but you will feel the impact, vibrations etc.

Ye there seems to be alot of love for both the Andro and vega. How CA have nowhere in the uk as a distributor is quite puzzling, in your opinion, what genres make your Andro shine mate?

I was able to demo the Andromeda and Vega. I first tried Vega and thought it was "alright". Then I put the andromeda on, which made my eyes pop.
They don't sound like in-ear monitors.
To MY ears, andromeda is just better one out of two.

You mean they sounded more like full size headphones in terms or air and soundstage?
