Isn't 1400 CAD cheaper than the cost in the US?? My Google-Fu tells me 1400 CAD is only 1066 USD. If I buy it in the US, it's $1099....

Which is why buying used/headfi/ebay makes soooo much sense, quite often.

I got burned pretty badly buying on eBay once... The seller outright lied about what he was selling on the product page, and then refused to cover the return. eBay in this case refused to enforce it's own policy (!!), despite the fact that I opened a case immediately after delivery, and I was out a nice sum of money. Needless to say I promptly unlisted all of my items for sale so that the company would not get any more in fees from me.

spent the last few hours with Andromeda, what really struck me, in comparison to Jupiter, is how extremely precise it pronounces the notes and instruments, incredible. very accurate. and of course the massive stage and sub-bass. everything is under control with Andromeda. this absolute coherence of all frequencies. I love it.

Accuracy, precision, stage, naturalism - it's breathtaking

with my AK380 it is like a small Funktion One soundsystem in my ears. (this is a soundsystem with radically clear and clean sound, those of you who have heard one before know what I'm talking about)

Ken, Caleb and all others at team ALO: you have done a magnificent job!

Yeah the Andromedas are stellar. We need more people shouting their praises, even at their price I still think they are a great value for how good they sound. I just got an AK70 to tryvpairing with them, hopefully that'll be a good combo.

don't worry, the 70 is a great source.
in my opinion AK's best P/P ratio player.
I'm sure you'll love it.

how can that be?...I thought that this iem just came  a number of months ago...and i heard it was a few yrs in development.
...or am i wrong?

Ken has hinted elsewhere that the Lyra would be coming back in a different form. My guess is that the rumored new IEM is either a reshelled version of the Lyra or something similar, and will not be intended to top the Andromeda. Just a guess.

Don't think there will be a new flagship so fast.

They are still doing their best rushing orders for Andromeda.

If not a lot customers would be trying to cancel order and jump to the new flagship.

The next to come would be their headphones.

Just joined the family of Campfire Andromeda users, Andromeda sounds really good especially I like the sound stage and the precision that Andromeda produced.
Andromeda outperform my U12 expect the mids, I think it should sound a bit better after some hours of warm up.
Really enjoyed the Andromeda with my Fiio X7 + AM3
What cable is good for Andromeda if I want some upgrades to the sound stage and bass? Thanks!

From my understanding the silver cable is already premium, and many reviewers have stated that there is no real upgrade from using aftermarket cables. Props to the ALO team for that. Dunno what the AM3 output impedance is , but it seems the andro likes io of 2-3, like zx2 or iphone. With chord mojo with almost 0, it'll be too bassy ><.
