Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I haven't said much in this thread but just want to say the Andromeda is excellent. It has supplanted the UERM as my favorite iem to listen to. The only grip is it is really sensitive to output impedance. This can be a good or bad thing. The good is you can kind of tailor the sound to your preference the bad is you may not like your source synergy. At any rate, the Andromeda is complete joy to listen to and the treble is simply beautiful.

Nice, Andromeda really is a phenomenal TOTL IEM for the price, isn't it. I'll have to buy one one of these days. Just don't tell my wife :p

Is there any word of a BF sale?  That Andromeda is all about Christmas in its pine-tree-green glory.

With the availability problems, I hate to say I'm skeptical... But maybe AOL will have a nice amp bundled with it. Headphone.com has some pretty good sales, too; maybe the Andromeda would be included. What's your jump-in point?

I used to share the same sentiment about BAs vs. Dynamics. I even tried Noble Audio 3Us, and they were alright, but still retained that articial sound (perhaps their higher end models are better). I thought BAs were inferior, until I tried Final Audio IEMs. Their midrange tuning and overall signature blew me back, naturalness and energy that I was not expecting. Since then, haven't doubted BAs anymore. I would be curious of a comparison between ALO and Final Audio IEMs.

The first time I shoved my Andromeda in my ears, I heard a decaying reverb. I presume the tuning chamber/drivers are responsible for that and is the where the naturalness comes from. Nice natural mass dampened decay

Anyone know if the cable that comes with the Andromeda can be purchased separately with a 2-pin connection?

Using the Nova atm. I forgot how smooth and cool these are. Using the Jupiter tinsel 2.5mm balanced cable to Opus#1.

Had a lot of enjoyment revisiting the Jupiter this morning

How is the microphonics on the tinsel?

I didnt notice any.

The balanced tinsel came with the Jupiter.

If the Andromeda Litz cable came in a balanced version i would be using that. We will just have to wait a little longer.

I believe this is the cable that comes with Adro:

https://www.campfireaudio.com/shop/litz-cable/

Even though it's not advertised as an option,I'd be willing to bet that since ALO is a cable company, they'd be able to work something out.

If not, if enough people asked, they might change their mind...supply and demand and all that.

I've owned the Andromedas and Sony ZX2 for about 3 months now. It's pretty much a flawless combo to my ears - musical, technical, balanced. The treble really sets these apart from anything else I've heard. Extended but never sibilant and always musical. I no longer wonder how much better my music could sound. I no longer think about new gear (much). My time can go back to enjoying my music and discovering new music.

If you have the money, I suggest everyone stop the incremental creep from lo-fi through mid-fi purgatory to hi fi, and just get this combo and get back to the music you love. You might even save money in the long run.

(Says the person still on Head-fi).
