No hiss with either Bonneville or Cascara on RS8 or SR35 for me.

Black Star seems like it's going for a flatter, more neutral signature. My favorite thing about Bonneville is that it's not that.
This is so damn sexy....kinda tempted to get Bonneville as a Christmas present...for my girlfriend. Of course, she would see right through that ruse haha.

Yeah I couldn't resist. I didn't think there were any versions of that cable with MMCX connectors in existence but a friend in Hong Kong managed to find what must have been one of the only ones in existence for me. It looks rather epic with Trifecta also:

No hiss I can detect as the sony new players are basically hiss free. Bonneville in balanced 4.4/high gainWill the Bonneville hiss with WM1ZM2? Does anyone know? Thank you in advance.
On another note, I’m not a fan of stock string style cable so I’m currently doing a bit of cable rolling. Tested the bonneville with an eros s ae but not a fan. Bigger soundstage and depth but the bass while tighter loses a bit of weight, especially in mid bass.
I just ordered this and eager to test it.
The look with my bonneville black will be for sure spot on

yeah I wouldn't say it wasn't enjoyable but it was ultimately only a very specific thick warm sound that would compliment larger iem collection as an acquired taste, I don't like keeping many, Bonneville is just the ticket for my tasteFor some reason I thought I remembered you liking the Dorado 2020. It's one of my favorite CFAs still. Even now I'm hesitating about listing it lol
Glad you're enjoying the Bonneville though-- you need to get your hands on the Cascara!
With you on the Trifecta. I really hope they go there with this new driver..lol

It's a bit soon, but just in case, interested in trading for the Bonneville. Have Sony Z1R as part of a trade.

Just about all reviews I've read on Ponderosa thus far say this is a warm set. I find this interesting as Campfire describes it as "crisp and analytical".For everyone interested my review for the Ponderosa is now online:

I'm thinking about ordering a set tonight. I was able to audition these recently but feel I didn't spend enough time with them.
Can someone please give the impressions about Bonneville vs sony ierz1r?
I've been enjoying the Penon Vortex recently and have been looking at some other single DDs. Really liking what I'm reading about the Cascara in this thread! If anyone has experience with both the Vortex and Cascara, is there anything that the Vortex might do better or would the Cascara likely be an upgrade across the board?

To all Cascara Owners: Is this IEM for every Genre suitable or Genre specific?

Works for jazz, electronic and vocals. Also rock and blues. So yeah pretty good all around!
